sf- S. Battier
pf- P. Patterson
sg- C. Douglas-Roberts
sf- C.Magette (if Salmons starts)
pf- D. Gooden (if Luc starts)
Best 2 benches in the league right here.
The Blazers have the third unit in the nba.
pf- Bass/ Anderson
pg- CJ Watson
sg- Korver (I guess him or Brewer start)
sf- James Johnson
pf- Taj Gibson
C- Kurt Thomas
Those ain't bad for second units
SF Alonzo Gee
SG Manu comes off the bench
and look for them to sign a small forward os shooting guard off the bench
Theo Ratliff / Kurt Thomas
i think omer asik will play more minutes than kurt thomas at center postion. the big man can block shots and rebound
The Rockets 2nd unit looks great. I think the Rockets is a contender because of its depth (if Yao is healthy entire year).
The Suns has a decent 2nd unit, too.
Childress (assume JRich and GHill start)
Dudley / Turkoglu (if he doesn't start at PF)
Warrick / Clark
C Haywood or Chandler
SG Terry / Jones
PG Beabouis / Barera
it all depends on who starts
bennydabull shouldnt you of all people know that Kurt Thomas is on the Bulls and not the Lakers
Bucks: Not much size but a lot of versatility especially with Maggette or CDR at the 3 and 2 spots possibly
SF LR Mbah a Moute
Oklahoma City doesnt have any stars off the bench but they have a bunch of guys who play hard and understand their role
C-Nenad Krstic/Cole Aldrich
pistons have a good lookin bench too
PF-Charlie V. or Jonas Jerebko
C-Monroe or Ben Wallace
Im not sure if you can call the pistons 2nd unit good if their 1st unit isnt very good imo
any unit w/ Ajinca in it should be disqualified from discussion. This guy is literally stealing money from the NBA.
Luc Richard Mbah Moute
Al Thornton/ Josh Howard- whoever starts
Trevor Booker/ Hilton Armstrong
Yi Jianlian/ Hamady N'diaye
Josh Childress/ Earl Clark
Hakim Warrick/ Gani Lawal
Especially considering how much these guys pride themselves on being the 2nd unit. I think that makes a big difference. I was extremely impressed with the suns 2nd unit last year, and I feel that they just got better... If these guys can hold the same mindset, I can see them winning a lot of games at the start of the 4th quarter when these guys come in and give 110% effort
Detroit better have a decent second unit, theyre spending about $26 Million on it
It's tough to say, most of the time, there will always be a starter on the floor with the back up units. a lot of decent benches have come together this off season. It will be a fun season to watch...
Would Evans be considered 2nd unit if he backs up Udrih but starts at SG? He's really the only other player that can play point for them besides Udrih. If so, I'd say they have one of the best 2nd units
symbol- Mav's have a sick backup situation at the guard spots and at center, but Stevenson and Ajinca negate an overall unit.
SMH! The Thunder anyone???
Daequan Cook/Morris Peterson
B.J. Mullens/Cole Aldrich/Nenad Krstic
The Kings 2nd unit would be better with a proven PG in it. Evans would not be considered part of it because he starts with the 1st unit. The 2nd unit for the Kings looks something like this:
PG: Pooh Jeter
SG: Francisco Garcia
SF: Casspi / Donte Greene
PF: Jason Thompson / Landry
The SF and PF positions depend on who starts for Westphal but I think either way it is pretty solid.
Yeah I didn't know cuz technically Evans is the backup for Udrih but he starts so it kinda goes both ways
the pistons do have a good second unit. tru, our first unit isnt to good, but our 2nd unit comparing to other benches, its still pretty darn solid
PG: Steve Blake
SG: Sasha Vujacic
SF: Matt Barnes
PF: Lamar Odom
C; Theo Ratliff.
No, you can't include Tyreke Evans in the 2nd unit lol. He's a starter.
Marcus Camby/Jeff Pendergraph
Joel Pryzbilla/Dante Cunningham
Luke Babbit/Elliot williams
Our roster is a mess right now.
No idea whos gonna get minutes.
I think the suns have the best 2nd unit, mainly bc of chemistry.
