In the event that Melo refuses to waive his no trade clause in sort of a dick move against the Phil Jackson, do you think the team could bench him the entire season?

They are going to release him this summer.

I’d like to see them get some value for him. If they get a 2nd round pick in 2020 from the clippers i’d be happy with that.

They wont pay him $55-Mil to sit on the bench for 2 years. Imagine that though, you come into work every day just yo sit on a bench and collect $0.5-Mil every week.

Didn’t think it was possible for the Knicks to be more dysfunctional than during the Isaiah Thomas, but Phil Jackson is like "hold my beer". It sucks so much being a Knicks fan 🙁

i dont think they will be able to get much for him and having someone upset like that is not going to be good for the team. better to let him move on if you can get him to agree to do it. let the wounds try to heal.

If one of Blake or CP3 doesn’t resign with the Clips, I bet Melo gets traded there.

If CP3 leaves, LA will have zero interest in Melo. I really highly doubt they pursue Melo unless it’s for a small package like was discussed at the deadline

but if you guys can somehow drop Melo – even if you eat a buy out & cut him

And you land a DeAaron Fox, for example, now you have 2 really good young stars to build around

    Sign a young free agent.

It’ll be a long slow rebuild but you have some young players to root for & watch grow

Right now the Knicks are just spinning their wheels

Bench him for the entire year? Cut him?

His stock might be lower than it has ever been, but am I really supposed to believe the Clippers wouldn’t package a 2018 1st with contracts (Crawford, Johnson, and Pierce) for him? I feel as though the Clippers getting him for cents on the dollar is the inevitable end of the story.
