     It’s tough for many NBA players  to make ends meet — particularly with no game checks coming during the lockout.

    That lack of incoming finances led to a drastic cutback at Memphis guard Tony Allen’s house during Halloween.

    Instead of giving trick-or-treaters candy during a visit to his house, Allen provided them with beef and chicken Ramen noodles.

    “Sorry kids it’s a lockout no candy!!,” Allen tweeted. ”Got a chicken and beef,::: Ramen noodles.”

    According to Basketball-Reference.com, Allen made $3 million last year  for the Grizzlies.  During the course of his seven-season NBA career, he has pocketed $12,777,037

    THAT Just was plain TACKY…People who dont make 3 million a year can afford to give kids candy..You know how many bag full of candy bars you can get for only a $1?

    And Allen has been playing for a few years……

    If he cant afford a bag of candy..What type of shape will he be in if he got injured and his career ended today?

    Guys… I don’t think he was actually too econimically handicapped to buy candy.. I’m pretty sure it was more of a statement towards the NBA and the lockout….

    Its a joke, no candy for kids is funny. And ramen noodles probably cost more then candy but poor college kids eat ramen noodles on the regular cause its cheap. They’re ways to show his frustration while making a joke at the same time.
