Bazz Muhammad sent home from Rookie program
Lol, I'm speechless.
I think it's unfair that he has to redo the program with next year's draft class just because he brought a female to his room. Bazz is just practicing the art of bringing groupies back to his hotel room on the road.
I don't feel bad for him, bruh knew the rules... He's a smart man, he has to stop setting himself up for positions of failure. He knows the position he is in, he knows he's one of the most analyzed and criticized kids to come out of college in years so why do something like this to get your name back in headlines? This is just kind of getting ridiculous.
They hold these types of functions to show players how to not get caught up in situations that can lead to getting robbed, murdered, aids and set up... Then this fool goes out and do exactly what they're telling them not to do.....LMAO
Did she steal stuff from the mini bar or something?
I Wonder did she force him to his right hand?
I hope that women didn't have a fake age too lol. Word just might come out that he fvcked a minor in the hotel room like Kobe lmao
Kobe didn't smash a minor lol, she was 19 but she had claimed she was raped.
But Aran Smith did hit the nail on the head with the Shabazz and Kobe comparison in hindsight :)
It's a bit ridiculous. He knew the rules and broke them anyway, so he should face the punishment.
However, isn't this rule just plain stupid? I mean, come on, it's not as severe as this one other player that got away with pushing his girlfriend down the stairs a couple years ago............
Bit stupid of the NBA in my opinion to send him home from the rookie transition program when they are trying to help the players so the NBA will have a better image.
Yeah, kind of missing the point on the rookie program to help them make better decisions. But discipline is apparently more important.
I have no problem with him being sent home. Part of the rookie program is to help transition these kids not only into playing like, but acting like professionals. Part of being a professional is following rules and showing restraint. If he can't do that for a couple of days then he needs to do it again.
Am I the only one thinking that handling groupies should be part of the rookie program anyways? I mean, he's probably going to spend a whole bunch of time bringing groupies to the hotel during the season... Guess he just transitioned to the NBA lifestyle too fast.
So much for a fresh start.
Shabazz is 20. He could be beginning college. Even there, state colleges don't reprimand you for having someone over to your room. Why should the NBA be so stringent? They're trying to keep a clean image? Really? Now? Then they better apply that to all NBA players. The stars are often married men getting women to their hotel room. At least these rookies don't have wives to cheat on and don't yet have Shaw Kemp-type problems. And good luck regulating that rule: telling grown men not to have ladies over.
Is this prison? Frankly, I think sex is a human right (assuming everyone's a consenting adult).
The NBA is not anyone's parents. Disallowing drugs makes sense because drugs lower performance. But VD doesn't. You want to make the NBA a morality zone? Fine players for cheating on their spouses. Let's see how long that lasts.
What else is the NBA going to mandate? Require they drink Gatorade, mandate everyone becomes Jewish or Muslim, force them to vote Republican, and make them call their mothers once a week. And if those rules were in place people would claim that they're millionaires and that should shut their mouths, not complain, and just take it. Sorry, but these players are still people and you can't own people. That's been illegal for a while.
You are going overboard. The NBA isn't trying to control players sex lives. It's something like a 72 hour seminar where they want your full attention and do not allow any guests to visit the players.
Shabazz was supose to show for 4 days he could lay off groupis and pot. He certainly proved he couldn't pass the groupie test. Thank goodness Beasley didn't come out the same year.
Dumb rule. The Rookies should just tell the league to frack off and get out of their bedroom.
"He also went in my hotel room, to talk about basketball"
- Jason Collins
on the sex tape! I hope you at least you got that after you got booted for a piece!
Matt Barnes says that Its''Totally BS'' and they should STAY Out of Players Bedroom........
Who cares. I hate how everything is a story with today's media. Like player's haven't done that in the past. You know that these girls are waiting in the hotel's for them
This is very common at the rookie program. Bazz just happened to get caught
