        Didn’t know I’s in MMA

        I guess that’s pretty cool

That makes up for the fact

That there’s green in my stool

TOL23 started this one, some people had some decent stuff, overall fun thread. As far as "following battle rap", I can’t claim to be an expert. I have watched some KOTD stuff, though tend to be more interested in artists I either know or know about. It is entertaining, yet I find basketball and other things to be more so. One of my favorite artists, KRS-One, could always throw down when challenged to a battle and I think braggadocio hip-hop can indeed be quite ill.

Huge Biggie fan as well, Kick in the Door and my favorite song, Unbelievable, definitely have battle lines. Used to care about rating MC’s and such, hard for me to do so anymore. With basketball players you have accolades and statistics. With battle rappers, I guess you can point outs lines, flows and W/L’s, though sometimes you can definitely argue as to whether the judges are making a fair decision.

Either way, with these things, like it a lot better when someone else at least gives there knowledge or opinion as well rather than leave a broad question. You must have some insight, if you want opinions, start some of the conversation yourself. For all of the people who say "all of my opinions or thoughts get negged", it is not better if you start threads or questions without giving any. Case in point, here. Sorry, not trying to be mean, just maybe stating why I checked in on this thread at -7.

Yes, this is a basketball board and I used to say post this in the off-topic. Cleaned that board out a bit, still think it is ok to talk about it from time to time, especially if the board is slow (which it has been). Well, my opinion on battle rappers are that some of them come up with some hilarious, entertaining stuff and some of them are grasping at straws to gain a rep. Guess that is kind of a broad, generalization, just has been a while since I saw a battle that really carried my interest. Sure there are some out there who are awesome and I support the cause as far as doing them.

Here was one I was almost going to post the other day. Might not be exactly at the spirit of this topic. Found it funny and it is indeed, a rap battle (featuring Key and Peele):
