On the 2018 mock both Mohammed Bamba and Nick Richards are compared to former NBA center Marcus Camby. This shows a lack in effort to me. Both could be elite defenders at the next level but to just call both Camby is a bit lazy.

Comparing two guys to the same person, especially given that each is definitely different in their own right, is lazy, or at the very least lacks creativity. But I have to say, unless you offer comparisons of your own, or at least some form of constructive criticism, this is equally as lazy of a way of addressing this. Throw in, "maybe Richards is more Willie Cauley-Stein" or "Bamba’s length, defensive prowess could put him on a similar trajectory to Rudy Gobert", rather than just say "he compared them both to the same guy". So, something to think about in terms of trying to get things closer to your comparison specifications for the future.

It is lazy on my behalf but I don’t have a close comparison of my own (yet). I just expected one of the top scouting websites to be more creative with their comparisons rather than calling two different players in their own respect the same guy.

Richards has allot of Camby or Theo Ratliff in his game.. Mo is more Mutombo or Gobert. Both need to work on their offense..

Mo Bamba is like a super-version of Nerlens Noel: same strengths but even taller, longer and with better touch. I don’t think he’ll ever get as big as Gobert has gotten; he might always struggle to defend bigger centers and will probably be best defending PFs one-on-one. Still, his rim protection, help-defense, rebounding. ability to finish around the basket, run the break, and occaisionally switch to guarding smaller players will make him a great fit for today’s NBA.

I’m bad at comparisons, a bigger better Nerlens Noel is best I can do. I think Marcus Camby was less versatile on defense and less of a physical specimen, Bamba is truly unique phisically, it’s hard to find a perfect comparison for such a fluid 7 footer with a 7’9” wingspan.

It’s funny that you compare Mo to Nerlens Anton because that’s actually who I see when I watch Richards. Neither have the high post passing that Nerlens has shown, but Richards seems to have the same similarities and struggles as NN.

Bamba actually reminds me of Serge Ibaka. Not really a post presence or shooter but has shown signs of range and has terrific length, timing, instincts on D.

To me is a top 2 prospect in any other draft, he reminds me of AD cause hes a great athlete, superior defemder, good rebounders, mobile and can both shoot a but but they need more work there. Richards reminds me of WCS as draft express said on a scouting report.
