At the end of the 3rd quarter, the Boston Celtics without the Big 3 + 1 are only down by 3.

Avery Bradley has 28 points while shooting 12-20 with 4 steals..  Not only that, the last 5 games, he’s averaging 21 PPG while shooting a blistering 62%.  He’s also hit an average of 2.4 three-point shots per game while shooting 70% from downtown.  In the last 10 games, he’s averaging 14 PPG shooting 55%.

He’s getting hot right on playoff time and he could be the scoring spark the Celtics missed last season.

How far do you see the Celtics going this post-season?  With this revamped defense and this spark on offense, is it enough for them to beat the Bulls or Heat and advance to the conference finals?

Either way, I honestly think they’re taking the Heat or Bulls to 7 games in the second round (if the Heat or Bulls get out of the first, which I’m pretty sure they will).  For once, I’m excited about the Eastern Conference side of the playoffs just as much as the Western Conference.

I see the Celtics making serious noise this postseason.  as long as DRose isn’t himself i think the Celtics can beat the Bulls, especially if Bradley keeps playing the way he is now.  On the other hand i dont really think they could get past Miami but crazyer things have happened.

I personally deserve to be about -40 in this thread.

    I’ll make my thoughts public:

I DESTROYED Ainge for this pick at the time, I wanted Hassan Whiteside instead.

However, for some balance, I should get some dap for ripping Ainge for passing on DeAndre Jordan to take JR Giddens in 2008.

Probably cost him a title in 2010, even if the game 7 was fixed for them to lose.

Everyone should have known that he had great potential because he was the top ranked player out of highschool. This would only be his junior year in college, so he still could grow even more. If people havent noticed that you can’t determine a players career till they are 23 or 24. They come out so young, that they need years to develope in the NBA before they can be good.

Bradley has been an awesome addition to this season, and I’m surprised he isn’t getting the credibility that guys like Lin, and to a lesser extent, Lester Hudson. Bradleys’ defense isn’t shocking, we all knew he could guard anyone he wanted. It’s his incredible three point shot, and movement without the ball that has surprised me the most.

His emergence slightly makes the Big Three transition easiar going forward with the Likes of Rondo, Bradely, and Green the Celtics have a decent young core and a bunch of cap space moving forward. If they can get a nice young defensive PF/C then they could be a scary defensive team going forward.

Was going to be the starter and everyone said no way. I rest my case.

Seeing the improvement and confidence is a shock……as a life long fan can remember an inseason turnaround like this since Sam Jones in the late 50s

Gives me hope for Jajuan Johnson, who certainly was more prepared for NBA coming out of college, but has had a Bradleyesque rookie year

He was a top high school prospect , but had a average freshmen year at Texas. I believe the Celtics can make it to the eastern finals if they don’t have to play both the heat and the bulls. Them and the hawks could have another great series bit without al I don’t know if the hawks can hang

The Celtics definitely could upset the Heat.  I am not sure about the Bulls, as I think the Celtics would have major problems scoring against the Bulls and would likely lose to the Bulls even without a healthy Derrick Rose, but the Heat look beatable.  Of course, the Heat may turn it on in the post-season, but they have struggled against the Celtics at times since acquiring LeBron and Bosh.
