balltilifall5ParticipantIf anyone is watching him against Nebraska, this is why he was so highly touted. The kid is straight doin it, 20 pts, 5-5 from three and an and one oop sure to be number one on sc top ten tonight. If he continues to show his offense, it is general knowledge he is a hell of a defender, his draft stock will soar. This kid is playing out of his mind.

quinceyhodgesim one of his biggest fans and i admit he’s good but everything he is doing the scouts know he can do. his biggest question is can he play the pg position and thats a question that probably wont be answered untill he gets to the nba. like every freshman not named wall or cousins he should stay but if he does go he will still go first round because of his up side and his ability. theres a kid who i used to help work out last year and the year before named rayes gallos. for nebraska. hes a freshman. how is he playing?..i dont expect him to be killing but hes one of those who will probably be all conference by his jr or sr year

quinceyhodgesi guess its the lil things plus the potential. alot of teams didnt see much upside from patrick. plus thats good if there isnt alot of different between him and beverley since hes only a freshman and beverly was a jr or sr

JNixonParticipantHe’s a shooter and defender, I want him to work on his handle and I’ll be more impressed with him. He’s just like alot of guards in college that can shoot and defend to me right now. I still don’t see the difference between him and Patrick Beverley (besides him being an inch taller), who was drafted in the 2nd round last year.

gregoden08ParticipantHave you seen Avery play defense? He is an absolute monster on the defensive end. Also, he is probably more athletic/quicker than Beverly and he is a good shooter right now and will end up being a great shooter.
I can’t think of a guard who plays as hard as Avery on the defensive end. Not even O.J. Mayo played defense as hard at USC as Avery does now.

JNixonParticipantBeverley is about the same level athlete as Bradley, has the same length and is just as good a defender. He’s just barely a worse shooter though.

gregoden08ParticipantI still think Avery is a better defender. The dude never ever quits on the defensive end. I think Avery will stay for another year and he and Hamilton will prove themselves next year once Pittman and James leave.
