Austin Rivers blaming him for being the bust... read and enjoy lol
blaming game... i was with my friends talking about basketball, when someone start talking about Austin Rivers that he is a bust and he shouldn't be in the NBA that because of doc rivers he was playing in the nba and he should more fundamentally sound and a better player and blablabla he blames him for not being good, well i was listeining when i started, man why? I asked him let me start this, i'm not saying he is the next Kobe or he is Kobe but didn't Kobe had a bad first season didn't he shooted 3 airballs in the playoffs didn't scouts said Kobe was not a good defender and was not a good shooter, Joe Bryant wasn't actually an NBA player and he is Kobe's father did he was a good fundamentally player?, do you think Kobe changed his way of playing since he came of high school? He was the man the primary scorer in high school he took a risk on declaring for the draft because he could have gone to college, Kobe actually have the same mentality since high school but what he is now or was... a Good shooter and a good defender what he is teaching us now? That he was talented, Hard Worker and yes i can be Cocky because i busted my ass off to be here. It's not Rivers fault he didn't play in a system he was the Man/Hero Ball/ The Scorer/the star in high school and in Duke he did the same he didn't change the way he played on Duke, should we blame him for having the same mentality and style of play he have since high school or should we be patient and let the Kid evolve and be a better player? Why calling him a bad player when he still have the time to be better, i don't think Rivers can be a star but he can be Good, i think if he adds a little more muscle and learns more about the fundamentals or the way the NBA style of game he can be good but seriously a bust!!! We should say it in 5 years what he is or if he actually learned something , i know some people will not like it but it was conversation i wanted to share enjoy brothers
Glad some people have common sense. This kid may not become a superstar, but he's way too talented not to leave a mark on this league. He comes from an NBA family, he knows what it takes, he will never take it for granted and become a money collector like Andrew Bynum, because he grew up in these surroundings. Living in a manshion is normal to this guy. This guy had one dream and one dream only, to become a NBA player and a good one. He's got a great character and work ethic and the right people around him to succeed.
He's going to be good. We'll see a nice jump in performance next year and he'll only continue to get better after that.
