Bryant24ParticipantAustin Rivers is my favorite high school player and hhas been lighting up this year this guy can flat out ball he can score all over the court he’s even starting to go rleft and use his left hand now and he’s better leaper than giving credit for. I wish he wouldve went to unc but im ready to see him at duke next year especially if Kyrie Irving is still there them two would be lwather with dawkins or curry coming off the bench. Is Austin Rivers the best play in the class of 2011 to yall guys? what are his strengths and weaknesses? what is a good comparison?

IndianaBasketballParticipantWow… He’s not playing lol. #4 had to have nightmares after that game. I like the way he sells all of his jabs, change of pace/direction moves, etc.
I haven’t watched a lot of him, but is he a point guard or combo guard? He looks like he can get a little dribble happy and forget about his teammates.

Bryant24Participanthe plays like shooting guard to me because he always looking to score and he is a great scorer in high school he passes the ball when he has no way of scoring but he dont usually create for his teammates he’s has the skills he just dont have that part in his game yet. Right now he’s a combo guard but with his skills he canbe a poitn gaurd on the future in the mold of a gilbert arenas shoot first and pass with its necessary but he austin says he 6’5 now.

Im Your FatherParticipantHe’s a 2, but he handles the ball very well. I think his game is a little bit like OJ Mayo’s, except for he is a little bit bigger, and I think he will be able to get into the lane better at the NBA level.

MkadozaParticipantHe looks like if you took Tyreke Evans’ floor game and game him a nasty jumper, that Austin the half court. Kid has a lot of polish. He’s a player. I wasnt much of a fan before, but he’s too good for the kids hes playing. I want to see him on the national stage.
And I said it before, if Irving comes back next year, we could see…. just maybe… quite possible… the greatest backcourt college has ever seen…….
I hate Duke…

the lake showI’d agree with you if Austin stayed for 2 years and Irving 3, but it will be a nasty back court thats for sure. And I think austin might be too good for college level as well after watching him play against the top 19 and under euro prospects with Irving and Abdul gaddy on his team yet he was head and shoulders the best player of the tournament
