Anyone have any word on why Virginia dismissed Austin Nichols?

im in memphis right now visiting family..and for the past few days nichols dismissal have been 1 of the top 3 trending topics for people calling into sports talk radio. .as you might expect, most callers who were disappointed and hurt by the way he left memphis high and dry..are elated virginia that he was dumped by virginia..

 there were a few callers that closely followed memphis said they werent surprised at all he didnt last long there..1 caller placed nichols in the same category as guys like benoit benjamin & eddy curry,talented guys that failed to live up to their potential and never became dedicated to improve their game.becuz they really didnt have the passion nor really enjoy playing basketball .they only did it becuz others pushed them or becuz of their height.

 a few callers said nichols might never play b ball again at any level..i hope that he gets his life in order.. i watched alot of his gms while he was at memphis and he was 1 of my favorite college players…

 Interesting, Thanks for that feedback. It’s extremely sad if this kid has a drug problem, or at least was defocused by all the surroundings of what comes from being a College Athlete… For some reason I have a hunch and im just assuming Nichols was partying a lot and it was clearly taking away from his ability to contribute to the locker room in a positive manner.. 

I also was a big fan of Austin Nichols, I thought he had lots of potential as a player.

 Im looking at the pictures of Austin Nichols playing his only game with Virginia and He looks extremely pale, has dark bags under his eyes.. It looks like he hasn’t slept in days.. I know that look,  im assuming here and have no facts he was..but im almost positive this kid was partying to much
