I think iggy will really accept a distributor teammate role and holiday will emerge as an above average pg and start taking over the team. I also like their size down low with brand, young, speights and hawes.

5. Who has a brighter future in the Atlantic Divison ? The Nets,Sixers,Knicks or Raptors…???-I think the nets are maybe in the best position for the future. Raptors have a lot of work to do, sixers have some questionable contracts and not sure igg, holiday and turner all fit. Knicks are average at every position other then amare and he doesnt bring a defensive presence.

I can see the Sixers put together a good year under Collins, The Knicks will need Amare to be nothing short of perfect to make the playoffs, The Nets will suprise a lot of people and put together a good year too…The Raps will be a bad team but they’ll have the year to play their young guys and get a high Draft Pick…

But I think the Sixers youth and depth along with a Healthy Brand and new Coach get them the 6 or 7 seed in the East…The Nets and Knicks will fight it out for the 8th Seed…Raps fight for the worst record in the NBA…

2. What Team in the Atlantic Division besides Boston is deeper. Knicks,Nets,Sixers or Raptors…Again I think The Sixers have a deeper Team at every position than the other 3 Teams…Williams-Meeks-Thad Young-Nocioni-Speights-Battie-Brackins-Kapono-Not to metion Thad could start and leave Turner on the Bench for his first year…I like the potential of that bench and I’m also high on what the Nets are doing with Favors and Farmer on their bench…The Knicks have some depth at the Sf and that’s it really…if Amare or Felton go down with a injury( 1 month or longer) that team can be in real trouble…

3. What Team or Teams gets into the playoffs ? The Sixers…

A. because of Doug Collins and the Youth and Veteran Leaders in Philadelphia B. A Healthy Elton Brand C. Break out season from Jrue Holiday…D. An energized Iguadola who now has a defined role and place on the team…E. Evan Turner as the 6th man in his first year and becoming The Starting 2 for the future…F. Hawes and Speights fulfilling their potential as great Scoring Bigmen

4. Will the Nets,Sixers,Knicks or Raps make a trade to shake up the East…? If so, Who makes a move and what do you think their ideal trade would be…

I can see the Nets and Sixers become palyers at the Deadline…New York will be laid back unless an injury occurs…They will be an 11th hour type trade partner for someone…The Nets may have to Trade the Harris/Favors combo at some point if Melo/Paul or Star X becomes available…The sixers could also make a big splash by Trading a combo of Turner and Thad for Melo/or Super Star X( Danny Granger comes to mind off top)

Still I hope The Nets and Sixers remain patient and build through the Draft and let their players grow…The Knicks have to make a move and the Raps will let this year go unless a Deal Emerges where they can get a star or good role players on a salary dump by Team X…

5. Who has a brighter future in the Atlantic Divison ? The Nets, Sixers, Knicks or Raptors…???

All 4 Teams to me have an exiting future…The Nets can have a Great Frontcourt with Favors/Lopez and Murphy…T will and Harris playing up their abilities make them interesting…They can good this year or they can be in the top 10 in the Draft(they do need a Starting Sg…T-Will is a Sg/Sf ala Iguadola)

The Sixers have the Core of Holiday,Turner,Iggy,Thad,Hawes,Speights and Lou Williams…If Turner and Holiday liev up to their potential Philly will have a top 10 Back Court no doubt…Iggy and Thad become the best Sf tandem this year if Thad can make steady strides in a 6th man role…Hawes can be a Brad Miller type Center and Speights has already been called a poor amn’s Amare…if he brings his A game he’ll be a great 3rd Big man and possibly be Brands heir apparent…The Knicks have the potential to bring in a star in Free Agency and one may just follow after…They have a run and gun style and will be in the biggest city in the country if we like it or not…The Raps will be bad but they will be entertaining and might become front runners in the Harrison Barnes sweepstake…Derozen and Barnes would very exiting as a Raps fan…I’d almost be alright with losing…

All in All I think the Atlantic Division has a lot of talented upstart teams…I’ll have to give the edge to the Sixers with the better young core of players up and down the Roster..The Nets are 2nd with the Harris/Willaims/Favors and Lopez core…They can use one of the best Sg’s in the draft this year and could be in the hunt for 1…The Knicks and their potential super team will be 3rd until they actually make a move that gets them that 2nd great player…right now it’s all Amare…The Raps will be a lot better in few years if they get a Harrison Barnes,Perry Jones or Enes Kanter…I also would not count out them drafting a potential allstar PG If they get unlucky in the draft and get the 4 or 5 pick somehow…

It’s between Holiday( Who can be Rondo like PG with more scoring ability )

Turner( Brandon Roy meets Grant Hill although I pray he can become a Penny like Sg at 6’7 with great all around game )

T.Williams( Iggy Jr. do it all wingman with great athletism and feel )

Brooke Lopez ( potential Top 5 Center..Every team wants and needs that to win, period )

Favors ( potential 20/10 type PF ..It’s Boom or Bust for the GT big man…but a lot of people are high on athletic Pf’s and big men don’t grow on tree’s)

Derozen ( a young Vince Carter or Jason Richardson …he’ll need this year to really become a great player ..If he puts it together and gets the shine in Toronto he’ll be the biggest name out all the players above)

Randolph and Gallo (AR was compared to Bosh and Gallo was compared to Dirk…if they can be half the players Dirk and CB4 are then Knicks have a nice Sf/Pf Combo…but the fact is AR’s been a bust so far and Gallo needs a big year this season or the bust talk will turn to him too…

Also…Thad Young,Spencer Hawes and Marresse Speights are all very young and talented…Thad is a hybrid forward and a talor made 6th man for Doug Collins…M16 and Hawes can score the ball with the best of bigs in this league…they just need to get their motor’s going and mature under a veteran Coach…Hawes could very well have a longer and more productive carrer than Lopez and Speights will be Joe Smith 3rd big man that can play on any contender for 10 years plus if he plays a little defense and rebounds the ball at decent rate …

2. Who’s the best player in the Atlantic Division ??? Can we really say Amare is the Best overall player in The Atlantic Conference..I’d take every aspect of the game and who impacts them all for 4 quarters…Amare is the Best scorer and maybe the biggest name …but does he impact the game in more ways than a Rondo or Iguadola?

3. What team has the best chance to be the worst team in Division and League ??? Raptors…no doubt will finish last but they need to…this is the year they get a high pick and try to change the Climate in T.Dot…

4. What team drafts the best ???The Nets have had good recent Draft…with Lopez being a no brainer at the spot he was taken and the same can be said about T.Williams…Favors will have become a great player to warrant being taken over Cousins and even perhaps Greg Monroe…but he’s also got big time potential so heah…

The Raps have drafted well the last 2 years with Derezon and Davis…Alabi may be a good pick up too…Tsill they to make up for a lot of bad picks this year and get either a Star PG(Irving,Selby,Knight) Stud Center(Kanter) or Elite Wingman ( Barnes or Jones )

The Knicks have been terrible with some of their draft related moves With Hill over a decent PG prospect no matter who you drafted (Jennings , Holiday , Collison or Lawson) If u think about a PG would have saved them from spending money on Felton and perhaps buying another superstar…I give an A for getting Lee where they did…and at least having the guts to draft Gallo and stick to it…but he better produce soon or he’s going to have a chorus of boo’s send him back to Italy…

The Sixers have been great in drafting talent in the middle of the 1st round and lottery in recent memory…Thad,Speights and Holiday are all pick 12 and down…Drafting Iggy where they did was also great…they have failed in my eyes to make a great 2nd round picks…besides Lou Williams who has produced very well as a 2nd round pick they have traded away 2nd rounder a little too much for my liking…With the recent trades for Jodie Meeks and now Craig Brackins they seem to be getting back to getting young 2nd round talent with the talent to produce very well…Turner becoming a great shooting guard will be key because their where 2 other guys who may have been drafted in Favors and Cousins…DMC may ahve been the pick if he wasn’t so immature or being labeled as that coming out of college… but time will tell if The Sixers made the best pick they could with Turner over Favors and Cousins…

5. Who’s the best Coach ??? 1. Rivers (even though he got a big 3 and Rondo and become great overnight) 2. Doug Collins…he has produced longer than Avery and has put together the blue print for some good to great teams…It’s a case off experience and youth meeting  3.Avery Johnson….The little general will become a great coach and motivator but until he wins his way and not just coaching a Star’s Team like he did in Dallas where everything went through Dirk…

 

6. Who’s the biggest bust in the Atlantic Conference ??? Brand is not a Bust to one of the posters above…He was a 20/10 guy and is potential Hall of Famer with his Duke backround and carrer stats…he just got injured and signed To a big deal which became a bad deal once he was injured and took longer to get back into form…New Deal/New Team/New Coach(fired coach/New Injury = A Bad Deal…he should have signed for less and given the team a Shot at a Guy like Joe Johnson the year after…but oh Well…The biggest Bust in The Atlantic Division is Eddie Curry, And The Ny Knicks for trading all their Draft picks including a Guy that became a steal and best pick in the last couple years for Them( David Lee at the end of the 1st round)

If Randolph doesn’t produce soon he’ll be bust
