I really think the All-Star Game should just take the best 24 best players in the league regardless of conference, like in the Pro Bowl. Lillard not making the team is just stupid considering he would probably START for the East.

I like it to be annual World vs USA in a COMPETITIVE match.

    Same as Ryder Cup golf.

This isn’t the NFL and just because it’s ONE year the East is down as far as quality of All-Stars, doesn’t mean you should revamp the entire system.   Players get snubbed all the time and truthfully everyone on the West should be there.  Except Tim Duncan, but I’m guessing he’s there because this maybe his last year.

Two points I would like to address. Firstly, we all know that the West is way better than the East every year; this year is not an exception. It always seems like there are snubs in the West that would easily make the East team. Remember two years ago when Curry didn’t make it the year he set the league record for 3’s in a season? Secondly, this is a game that is supposed to display the league’s best players in a particular season. Lillard is one of the best 12 or so players in the world and has had his best season yet. It is expected that Korver is going to be selected to play with Wade probably out. Korver is having a historic season shooting the ball, but he’s the fourth best player on his own team and is averaging 13 PPG. Lillard is the most important player on a team that’s 32-14. It’s not even close who has had a better year.

It’s nothing wrong with the West having better players…  Remember, who actually won these games the past couple of years too (East)…   Also, I need you to understand that even the NFL doesn’t have their best players playing in the Pro Bowl..  Players turned it down, so you wanting the NBA to be like the NFL is dumb.  Keep it like it is.   It doesn’t have to be 100% fair.   If Lillard wants to be damn near a shoe in for the All-Star then he should go to the East when his contract is up (which wouldn’t be that easy as it sounds)…

The truth is the East has been hit with a number of injuries this year and a few players aren’t playing up to their potential.   Horford shouldn’t be in the All-Star game, but he is…  Noah, Rose, Love, and even an injured Paul George are better players.   Sh*t happens, relax and enjoy the game in Feb…

It’s the coaches fault. They voted in Durant and Westbrook over Lillard.  Then the Grizzlies only get one all-star. It’s tough.

You still have to do East vs. West though. Otherwise it would be too gimmicky.

The East had some notable "name" snubs. Kevin Love and Derrick Rose weren’t voted in.

There were "name" snubs, but that shouldn’t matter because the ASG is just for the best players that year. Conversely, there were guys that only got in because of their name, like Kobe and Duncan. Duncan’s had a great year, but nowhere near as good as Cousins or Lillard.
