Article on Hardwood

An interesting article I came across from ESPN Monday Bullets.

A good amount of the NBA comparisons are terrible.

Dion Waiters = Rodney Stuckey, Leonard = Tiago Splitter, and a couple others.

Nice charts though.

Waiters is a load going to

Waiters is a load going to the rim, completely shrugs off contact. Doesn't exactly scream Stuckey to me.. Waiters reminds me a ton of Jason Richardson..

Sorry but thats a horrible

Sorry but thats a horrible comparison, those 2 are literally nothing alike ... Waiters reminds me of a right-handed James Harden (poor man's version)

I don't think he is quite as

I don't think he is quite as athletic as Stuckey but he is definitely a better shooter. I would say that is a better comparison than JRich though. Richardson is a spot up player and does not make plays often with the ball in his hands. When is the last time you have seen someone set an on ball screen for Richardson? Waiters thrives in the pick and roll game and playing off the dribble. I can see a poor mans Harden for sure but the player he reminds me of the most is Ben Gordon. He has a little more size and strength so he should be better going to the basket but ultimately I see him as a very dangerous 6th man in the league for a while.
