This isnt the key to Laker success but they need to stop giving Artest so much freedom!!
I hate that Mike Brown has dubbed him as the second team scorer.. He is awful. He is still a pretty good defender and rebounder but he is not a good offensive player.. When he was in Sac and Houston, he was okay. While with Indiana he was pretty damn good but as a Laker, he is terrible..
I dont have any stats and Im not going to look because I dont need any. He stops the offense and he kills them by missing wide open shots..
Ebanks and Barnes are both better options.. Hell, it would be better to play Kapono there.. At least he can make a shot..
Overall, the Lakers need to start playing better.. Go inside out with the basketball.. That doesnt mean make Kobe the 2nd option.. He is Kobe Bryant.. He is the best scoring option in the league.. I just think they should go to Pau and let Pau be a PG from the post.. Let the ball go through him or Bynum.. When the defense starts to sag, then kick to Kobe.. Attacking a defense that is trying to close out is what every scorer dreams of.. From Kobe's hands, he can find Fisher or Artest for threes or re-enter to the post for Bynum or Gasol.. Also, they need to start running Kobe off more curl and fade screens.. He always seems to catch the ball with the defender right in his grill. Let him take some shots that have cleaner looks that he doesnt have to create.. Making all of those moves is hard on any player but especially one his age..
One last thing..
The Lakers are a good team but they are on a "hang over" from Phill and the Triangle.. By the end of the year they will "sober up."
Yea, Ron Artest is garbage. He's awful.
IF Pau is going to play aggressive like this every game, then maybe Kobe won't have to do so much. He hasn't been this decisive and aggressive in a long time. When he plays like this, he's the best power forward in the league.
And Troy Murphy forgot how to block out... I mean, damn... He gave up like 5 straight offensive rebounds.
Didnt Gasol complain about getting touches before this game?? He seems to play better when he has a chip on his shoulder.. He was amazing when everyone was saying he was soft.. Now he has shed that "soft" tag and he has been soft.. LoL
Still just don't see how people are saying Blake Griffin has no post game... His foot work is so much better than what people are giving him credit for.
And his jumpshot is coming along.
Seriously who doesnt agree that Mo Williams wouldnt be the perfect fit for the Lakers ?
He fills that Pg whole and is basically a upgraded Derrick Fisher. He is unselfish but can certainly score ,he can hit big shots like Derrick Fisher can ,and he can probably get the ball to Gasol and Bynum better then any one else on the Lakers can ,he also spreads the court perfectly for Kobe,Bynum and Gasol.
Mo Williams is the key to make the Lakers a elite team in the West and might even make them the favorites to win the West and the title
I sware I was literally just thinking the same thing.
They need a point guard just like Mo. Mo can play his ass off. I've always liked him.
He's pressuring the ball well on defense, but there's no way that rookie on the Lakers should've been giving him buckets like that though lol.
who's ron artest?
ron has been garbage, but he really isnt given any kind of crazy freedom. He even recorded a dnp coaches decision recently. Lakers cant make threes and the pg position is bad with steve blake and absolutely pathetic without him.
You get cold feet on that trade? LoL
yeah, its a fair trade. I just kinda want stay with my team. Plus mo will going back to the bench drops his value.
Thats funny because it yesterday yu were down for it..
just chnged my mind.
That wouldnt have anything to do with Harris's big night and Verajo' double-double would it??
Its cool man.. Im just messin with ya. Dont wanna upset anyone.
Artest is killing the Clippers right now.
World Peace is proving you wrong right now
Putting BG in a arm bar is how we play basketball. I can't watch games on Laker home court anymore. Its so frustrating as I watch one sided officiating.
i take back everything i said. I love that guy. Seriously though, even when he plays bad, its hard to be mad at that guy. He's just such a tough competitor and he wears his emotions on his sleeve. I always pull for him.
I feel the same way about the officiating when I watch the Heat play.
one side officiating? Those cheap fouls that the Lakers got late in the game were "make up " calls for earlier calls. The Clippers were very physical with the Lakers .
Not stepping out of bounds? Lolol come on. The Lakers have a history of corrupt calls. This game is no different. God forbid they lose 4 games straight haha. Aye its all good though the state of the Lakers is a joke.
unless you are watching some different tv feed then me, they never showed any angle that even remotely showed whether griffin was out of bounds or not despite how adamant the clipper announcers are it was a bad call. And if we are going by the rule book (something rarely done in the nba) griffin traveled anyways. You cant catch the basketball with both feet set inside the 3 line and then take 2 steps backwards to get behind the line without dribbling.
Whats stronger Chris Paul's drive to win or Eddy Curry's love of food?
