 Who are some players that have surprised you with their Ape Index Measurents which is their height subtracted from their wingspan. Some ones I know of that surprised me when first seeing them is ofcourse Durant who is measured at 6’9" barefoot( though is probably an inch or so taller) but was recorded as having a 7’6" wingspan. Another one is Elton Brand who is recorded at 6’8.25" without shoes but has a 7’5.5" wingspan. 

The ape index of Durant is 9 inches, and the ape index of Elton Brand is 9 inches or so also.

Also who do you think will have a large ape index in the 2014 NBA draft. 

As a side note, I think that it is normal for your wingspan to be equivalent to your height

 Another guy i remember is Beejay Anya of NC State who is 6’9" but is said to have a 7’9" wingspan. He is not currently a nba prospect in my eyes unless he significantly slims down and get better conditioning. it also wont hurt for him to develop some post moves

 Rudy Gobert had some of the longest measurements I’ve seen. 7 and 1 half inch with 7’8 and a half inch wingspan. 9’7" standing reach is nuts. Lamarcus Aldridge also comes to mind as having long arms as well as Tim Duncan.

Damien Inglis should be around 6 or 7 inches on the AI.  Vonleh could come in around 7 as well.  Draft Express has archives of how guys measured in at certain camps for most prospects.  As of his last measurement, Jerami Grant was at a 7.5.

The Greek Freak was at 7’3" predraft, but he’s still growing, so that number may have changed.  That team’s got wingspan for sure.
