Once you have the domain

Once you have the domain registered, you need to find a host for the website. Essentially this host holds all the pages of information as well as anything else that may be viewed or downloaded from the site.

Then you need to actually design the website. Many templates and such exist so you do not need to necessarily design one from scratch or go out and hire someone to design it for you. After that, it's just simply maintaining and updating as well as advertising for the site. That doesn't mean you need to take a full page article in the newspaper or make a commercial for livestream, but you do need the name out to the public so it generates traffic.

I wouldnt do it yet. I would wait till you get more people on board, and figure out stuff.

Talk to Quentin Haynes (mr knick) and see if he wants to help.

It would if you get either

It would if you get either enough traffic, or i think you need to do something with google.

I remember they were talking about that.

I havent been on that site in awhile.

Have you created a website there? whats the adress?

SEO

@mattholdenbrown
It would not rank very high in the search engines with basketball as a sub domain, but after it was submitted a lot would depend on the content.
there are a couple of "tricks" that can help it get ranked higher.

Great Domain BTW!

My Advice

Sorry, I cannot join your site as I'm working on one myself- www.sircharlesincharge.com

If I had to give you advice- Go to Fansided.com

They will create you a blog. If I was you, I would focus more on the college game first. I would make a blog following the college game and all the recruiting stuff. I would honestly get Iggy9 to help you as well. I think if you did that, you would be much more successful. Starting a NBA blog is TOUGH. Trust me, You to update it EVERYDAY on every piece of news.

Go to Fansided.com and contact them here- http://fansided.com/contact/

Or, you can do a certain team. You cannot do a overall NBA blog because there's like 4 of them already.

I would focus on the draft

I would focus on the draft more too.

Theres not that many draft site. get tons of scouting reports from different people. Also try to get people who can cover international play well. That really helps too.

Id be able to help write

Id be able to help write articles given they are edited based on the professionalism of our site. Id be able to give creative perspectives and be available for most of the time. Im currently injured and unable to work so I would definitely be able to brainstorm with you and get this thing off the ground. Maybe we should start by recruiting. A good idea would be to cover every aspect of the sport. International, College, NBA, FIBA, D-League, WNBA,Highschool betc. and find people to cover each league. Just as important would be too find a very good name that asttracts people. Find a way to have the domain name pop up in google on random searches, wen someone types in Chris Bosh in google there should be a profile on Chris Bosh pop up from your website. IDK how to do that but it is an idea. Use twitter, fuse facebook etc. Expand make a name for yourself and get advertisements. Build from the adfvertisements keep getting more money so you can advertise your site. Eventaully find people to do interviews or do them yourself, for example..I live in a basketball hotbed in Toronto, I could easily go to schools here and interview the upcoming Canadian players. Then have a Canadian basketball theme or whatever.

Make it attractive and inciteful is the main thing. Give readers something they dont get from other sites.
