valentineI think this guy could put up monster numbers next season. I’m not sure he’s got the supporting cast to make a strong playoff push, but I’m predicting him to average
24 ppg, 13 rpg, 4 apg, 3 bpg, 2 spg
How bigtime do you guys think he’ll be?

BallinmvpParticipantThe pelicans have talent when healthy, I think AD’s best position is at PF and if they got a good C then they would take off even more. It wouldn’t be out of the question for him to average 25 Pts, 11, 4, 1, 3blks

druneave3ParticipantIf Andre Drummond fell just one more spot! AD and AD together at the 4 and 5. Instead, they got Austin Rivers

Ebown5ParticipantHe’s a monster that is only going to get better. He is the next superstar in the league if he isnt already one.
If the Wolves end up trading Love and then trying to free up cap space I wonder if Pekovic could be had on the cheap. He might be a good player to put next to Davis.

Lawrence112ParticipantI don’t know about that Jrue Holiday trade for the Pelicans. Seems like they should have just kept Noel and their pick this year.

MattP31ParticipantOr instead, they could have drafted MCW 6th, or traded down. MCW would give them a point in place of Jrue and at a much cheaper rate, plus they would have had the 10th pick this year. Imagine that team with MCW and Gordon/Randle/Saric/etc

raymondlyfParticipantreflects quite badly on how impatient are the Pelicans, their guards are just going to take turn to stay injured…

the27guyParticipantIf Anthony Davis can stay healthy, he’s got a good chance of beign all 1st team NBA this season. He’s ready to explode.
I don’t know if we’ve ever seen a skill-set like his before.

King CaluchaParticipantCrazy but only 8M in cap space. I think Anthony Davis would be in top 5 contention for MVP if he makes the playoffs.

Mr. HookShotParticipantDavis should work on go-to moves first and foremost, so his teammates can give him the ball and let him go to work. Great players have always been able to create their own shot, elevating their team when needed.

BallinmvpParticipantThe man averaged over 20 a game without go to moves and with inconsistent pg play to feed him the rock, he is a stud. The only thing he really needs to work on is staying healthy.

Mr. HookShotParticipantThat might be true, but the thing is that you want your superstar to close out games when necessary, by letting giving them the ball in the final seconds. Now Davis showed a glimps of being able to do so (see his game at Boston this year http://www.nba.com/pelicans/video/games/pelicans/2014/03/16/0021300990-bos-nop-recap.nba), so I have good hope, but when the game is on the line, Davis should be the one with the ball in his hands deciding the game like all great players do.
