If it's not even close then

If it's not even close then why start a thread about it? It's also ridiculous to compare college stats to high school stats. I worry that both of these guys are going to struggle in the NBA the same way that Michael Beasley, Terrence Jones, and Derrick Williams do, they're tweener forwards which in this case means they're undersized power forwards. I think all of these guys have to be in the right situation to be successful.

I compare them because Randle

I compare them because Randle has a lot of hype while Bennett is the opposite, everyone thought he was a "reach". Yet Bennett has better college stats than Randle's high school stats. Shouldn't Randle be scoring 20+ PPG if he's as good as advertised? The hype he's getting is ridiculous and out of hand.

Unlike the player you mentioned, Bennett actually has the skillset to play multiple positions. The only thing going against him is his weight, which is easily fixable.

My 1st Double POST!

I am pretty sure those are Randle's stats from his freshmen year of high school when he weighed 215 lbs.

I tried and I could not...why don't you do some accurate research before you start trashing players?

Beasely

Beasley isn't struggling because he is a tweener. He's struggling because he is immature. Beasley has the skill level to play the 3 and a stretch 4...but maturity wise he cannot help a team because he has too many mental lapses. You give Beasley a mature mind and he is an all star. Period.

You have to take HS stats with a grain of salt

I mean damn Michael Jordan didn't make his team in his first year.

WOAH WOAH WOAH, you might

WOAH WOAH WOAH, you might want to calm down a little. Julius Randle came back very very very very early from a right fractured foot, which keeps most players with that type of injury out for that whole season. His team was 15-19 without him, he comes back averages 30 and 15 in the PLAYOFFS and leads them to another state championship. I don't know where those stats you posted are coming from but don't tell one side of the story to make your player look better.

His team barely won the championship against a squad full of white 5-footers. Impressive.

High school games are 8

High school games are 8 minutes shorter and most states don't have a shot clock. Add that to the fact that his team is blowing teams out by halftime and he doesn't even play the 4th quarter in many games and stats in high school aren't that important.

Randle had better high school stats as a freshmen than Bennett did as a senior....so there is that as well.

lol he averaged 30 & 15 after coming back from a foot injury. He woulda been the #1 pick this year if he was elgible.

Sorry, he's a better prospect than Anthony. Not that I don't like Anthony!

....

who is better cannot be determined by statistical prowess in high school. They must be evaluated in game situations. Comparing body types and high school stats can give you a picture of a player but you cannot determine who is better that way.

As I have said with Wiggins... Let me see him play a college game first.

With that said I really like Randle as a player from what I have seen of him. I love his tenacity and power and he has a nice skill set.

I totally agree that him and

I totally agree that him and about 5 other guys from this high school class probably would have been the #1 overall pick in this draft. You can say that is speculation since they have yet to play a college game but I am pretty sure that Randle will be the best player on the best team in the NCAA next year.

why compare guys in the 1st

why compare guys in the 1st place? Hate that concept. Many say bennet was a reach. How can he be a reach in a weak draft class. How can bennet be considered better and randle hasnt played a single game of college yet. Neither have played a game in the nba either. Obviously the stats next year will be hard to compare since bennet at unlv had much less talent than kentucky has coming in this year, and he wont average the numbers bennet averaged based off not having nearly the minutes bennet had becasue he will have to share minutes between so many guys. Also Sewok how can you say people from this year's high school class would had went number 1? I didnt know you could see in the future?
