Finally, Anthony Bennett has finally done something of note in the NBA!  I realize it was just one game but as a Cavs fan you have to celebrate the little victories lol.  He drained 3s, scored on and blocked an Anthony Davis shot, and actually looked athletic!  Is anyone else as relieved as me to see some signs of life from this guy?

The title for this post is a bit dramatic. He had a solid game in a blowout loss.

Personally, I’m not too worried about Bennett’s future. He’s just on the wrong team and shoots too much. Put him on a structured team that encourages him to attack the rim: he’ll be a great 6th man.

Are you really looking for a 6th man with a number one overall pick though?

Of course not, but I don’t think it’s fair to judge Bennett on his pick selection. He was a reach in a weak draft class. Now when I say 6th man, I’m talking about a contender. He has great offensive potential, just think he’s defensive game will hold him back from being a starter on a good team.

I may be wrong, but I just can’t picture him blossoming into an All-Star in the forseable future. However, I do think he can be a productive player with a long career.

Bennett will be an 18 and 9 guy when he figures it out. Really good talent in a unique body type. Very LJesque

The LJ comparision was thrown around before the draft and I get it with the UNLV thing. I actually thing his ultimate ceiling comparision in Glen Robinson and a floor of the older Rodney Rodgers.

Im happy to see him play better. Even though his start has been disastrous, I think his future is still bright and he has the talent and tools to be a good player.

When I saw the headlines about him getting career highs the other day I hobestly thought he had like 5 points. On a more serious note I see his ceiling as a more sthletic(when in shape) Ryan Gomes.

He is 20…  will be 21 in March.  I think he had to go to an Academy after high school because of his grades.
