Question, what do y’all think Kevin Love cares about most, winning or playing in a big market? Of course he’ll prefer both, but I can’t see him signing with Lakers with an aging and overpaid Kobe, hoping another star comes along. Boston doesn’t have enough pieces imo worth Love. Chicago and Golden State seems like options as they have the arsenal to entice Minnesota via trade, but if not, do you go all in and try to make Minnesota a winner at the risk of losing Love for nothing?

    Trade idea

Rubio, Barea + #13 pick, 2015 pick to Boston for Rondo.

    Rondo-Martin-Brewer-Love-Pek

Bench Shved, Muhammad, Buddinger, Mbah a Moute, Dieng

Wolves go all in on Love/Rondo combo leading them to playoffs. Dieng and Muhammad have plenty of potential to help out the team now and in the future. Risk is now losing both Rondo and Love after next season.

    Boston

Hard to imagine the lineup, but they come away with their potential pg for now and the future while adding a second lottery pick. For the past few years they’ve reportedly tried to deal Rondo. Do you think with that in mind, and "tanking" for another year won’t piss off Rajon and have him leave for elsewhere after next season?

As I’ve mentioned before Part 1:

Phi-gets #4, #23, Gordon Hayward, Maurice Harkless and drafts Noak Vonleh and Clint Capela.

Orl- gets #3, Derrik Favors and drafts presumably Jabari Parker along with Tyler Ennis at #11

Utah gets #10, Victor Oladipo, Thaddeus Young and drafts Julius Randle along with either James Young or Jerami Grant at #10

    Part2:

Phi trades Vonleh, Noel, Wroten, Richardson and next years 1st to Min for Love and Pekovic (might have to throw in a few more salaries to make it work)

Phi looks like this: MCW, Hayward, Harkless, Love, Pekovic

Min looks like: Rubio, Martin, Brewer, Vonleh, Noel

Min also has crazy depth and 2 firsts next year. Phi still has decent depth and is already playoff caliber with potential for more if Brett Brown doesn’t have a heart attack trying to get this group to play better defense.

Decent offer from T.Wolves for Rondo but they dont own their 2015 pick.  The suns do.  Also, Rondo is a soon to be free agent with a short time to prove something with Love

Actually the Celtics do have the assets to get Love. They have the 6th pick, 17 pick a bunch of picks from the Nets that start to come into play next year. One is the 17th pick, there are at least 2 more. Then they have the expiring contracts of Bass, Bogans, Wallace and Humphries. Then they have young talent in Sullinger, or Olynyk. Then there’s Jeff Green. Boston has the assets and a willing GM who loves to deal. So they are strong contenders to get Love.

I dont think Rondo brings anything to the table different to Rubio, Ricky is a poor mans Rubio. I don’t think the Wolves problem is at the point, they have no capable wings and no bench.
