burgessfourParticipantLet’s assume the ping pong balls do not go the sixers way and we end up with pick 4 and pick 11/12
Here’s my 2014/2015 roster – please note – they will also have 2 vets @ about 7.5 million each.
The number in parenthesis is where the rookies are drafted. All rookies are available where I have them being picked at based on this site.
C – Noel – Sims – Bachynski (52)
PF – Randle (4) – Thad – Alec Brown (48)
SF – Hood (11/12) – CJ Fair (32)
PG – MCW – Wroten
SG – J-Rich – Jabari Brown (39) – Lamar Patterson (55)Admittedly this is a lottery team again next year, but I don’t think any of us sixers fans expect a ton of progress in terms of wins & losses next season. I do think this could develop into a pretty good team down the road.
Thoughts ?

Lotto StudParticipantThey will not use up that many second round picks, expect them to ship for future picks.

TRC1991ParticipantThe Sixers will probably use 4 of the 7 draft picks that they have.

Sewok15ParticipantI wouldn’t mind Jabari Brown at all in the 2nd round. He would fit nicely next to MCW with his shooting and strength. He could probably start for the Sixers right now at SG but I would still prefer they address the SG position with the 11 or 12th pick with James Young, Zach LaVine or Gary Harris if he would still be around would be perfect.
If they would be unfortunate enough to drop out of the top 3 and Parker, Wiggins and Embiid are the the top 3 picks I would think they would have to go with Randle. They wouldn’t want Smart or Exum since they are somewhat redundant if you plan on moving forward with MCW at PG (trading him for another lotto pick wouldn’t be a bad idea if you get one of those two to replace him).
A frontline of Noel and Randle going forward would certainly be promising and they could really hide each others weaknesses with Noel’s interior defense and Randle’s post game. I think the Sixers could then trade Thad Young for a SG of SF (maybe Mayo and the right to swap picks next year) and sign a potential stretch 4 like Josh McRoberts (37% from 3 with 1.3 makes per game) for 3 years 12-15 million to be the sixth man and back up both front court spots.

HomerKangParticipantActually, that’s a pretty good lineup there. IMO, if you have a starting lineup of:
* Julius Randle (PF)
* Rodney Hood (SF)
* Nerlens Noel (C)
* Jabari Brown (SG)
* MCW (PG)
with CJ Fair, Thad, Henry Sims, Tony Wroten, etc. off the bench, I would go as far as saying that this team would get around 40 wins next year, and NOT have to be in the lottery again. And anyway, I’d rather have a financially-smart Jabari than one who’s not as financially-smart and unsure of himself. This lineup, under a coach like Brett Brown, and a healthy Noel, will make a 40-win season so within reach. Good one !!!

OhCanada-ParticipantStarting four rookies is not going to lead to wins. If Im Philly I do my best to give back to my fans and create a winning culture. Four lotto picks in two years is enough to start committing to wins.

PhillytheKidThat team is full of questions. Randle’s size and short arms, and undisciplined ball handling in the open court. Noel’s complete lack of offensive game. Hood’s lack of explosiveness. and J Rich….lol. J Rich belongs on the Nets, I don’t think he’ll give you anything close to 40 wins.
That team is not a "smart" basketball team. You gotta get smarter.
You can do much better at 4th pick with Exum, and then with 11 take a solid 3 like McD, Warren, or J. Grant. That team is bad enough that you grab one of the bigmen from next year’s draft, and you stink it up again this year.

vulture711ParticipantThad would move to 3 and instead of Hood I would try and add a much better 2 with eiher the Pelicans pick or move that pick. Shooting guard is a perennial soft spot for the Sixers
