when he jumps to catch the pass with the defender on his hip, then puts the ball down before he lands which completely turns his defender around...then proceeds to calmly drill the J. We talking about the same thing? look at the link i posted. starts at around 0:36ish.

This is the first you've seen of Andrew Wiggins. There have been videos of him on this site for over 2 years now!! Haha. Andrew Wiggins is a better prospect than MKG and that isn't a knock on MKG that is just how good Wiggins is. I just can't see this guy not becoming a franchise player. Could be the best HS player I have seen since Lebron. Not the passer Lebron is or as strong but a better shooter at the same stage.
When scouts look at MKG, they see his physical tools and motor and say " If I could expand his game he'd be a monster." That is why he was taken 2nd. Wiggins seems to have that game already with the size, athletic ability and motor of MKG.
I feel he's at similar size, similar motor, but wary up there on the athleticism. I don't think I'ver ever seen anyone with quite the full athletic package he has except for maybe DRose at the same level. The thing with these guys is just how effortless it is. I mean H-prep isn't even getting excited for these plays, just smirk and get back on D. That second bounce of his is going to be deadly, as well, he's starting to get some fantastic footwork, ball fakes, and he's works the body of his defender fantastically as well. Really the only thing I think he lacks against Lebron at the same stage is passing. I would say he's easily more athletic than James too. Not gonna say he's going to be better, but damn, if there ever was one who could be....
Not even close... this kid has superstar written all over him , athletic, can shoot can defend, is a leader. He will be the #1 pick hands down... has that it factor... No disripect to MKG ! i lov his game and hustle, but Wiggins is way to far ahead of where Micheal was offensively in highschool.
However, where would he rank in what is shaping up to be the strongest High school class in quite a few years. Look at the Small forward spot a lone Wiggins, Parker, Randle, A. Gordon, throw in Noah Vonleh. What may seperate MKG from some of these guys is his mental toughness and focused approach to the game, but based on talent alone would he be ahead of any of the aforementioned players at the same stage in his development? Again it's not a knock on Michael more than a testament to how strong this 2013 class is going to be. And I didn't even mention the Harrison Twins. On another note looking ahead to the 2015 High school class, is any one else as bummed as I am that Mickey Mitchell won't be playing this season out with a torn ACL playing football. He was by far my favorite High school player regardless of class, his handles, and court vision are just off the charts and he's athletic to boot.
Well, he had 31 points tonight with Dickie V in the crowd ready to gush over this "Sensational Diaper Dandy" come next November. He went up against HCYA whose star player, Justin Jackson, is one of the top rated 2014 prospects (though is one month younger than Wiggins, do not think he is reclassifying). Jackson had 19, but Wiggins and Huntington stole the show and won the game 77-50.
Huntington is not in the official tournament and will play Arlington Country Day in their "Signature Series" Final on Saturday. Jahlil Okafor and Dakari Johnson of Whitney Young and Monteverde respectively play right now, with the winner looking towards a nice chance at the championship of the main tournament.
Doubt either one of them takes over the game like Wiggins did by scoring 14 in the third quarter and just flat out imposing his will. Know people are probably sick of hearing about him, just think people probably are not sick of seeing his rare athleticism in full effect.
