I haven’t been able to see much of Andre Roberson play but he really stood out when I have saw the buffs over the past couple years. I also thought he would have developed a little bit more in terms of ball handling and wing play. He will obviously need to add weight but he cannot play the 4 in the NBA. So will he be able to add an offensive dimension to his game? His defense and rebounding are great thanks to his amazing length, along with being an explosive athlete who hustles. I think he will be highly underrated whenever he is drafted due to his offense and will be a steal with a mid-first round pick.   Anyone who is more familiar with his play let me know what you think.

he’s defenitely a first rounder but outside the lotto at this point. He is asked to play around the paint in college a lot and to protect the basket, but he is clearly a sf in the nba. Hes 6-7 and will be a defender hustly player along the lines of trevor ariza. But he needs a ton of work on his perimter skills still. Hopefully his jump shot mechanics are improved becasue he has kind of a stiff release that doenst look comfortable, dont let the 38% 3 point shooting from last season fool you, he is a liability from outside and gets left open all the time. His ft shooting after 2 college seasons is below 60%. AMazing rebounder, he averaged 11 boards last season in 30 minutes and averaged 8 as a freshman coming off the bench. He should be an all pac 12 first team candidate next season.

this site currently has him going 23 in 2014 while draftexpress has him 22 in the upcoming 2013 draft

I feel like Andre Roberson and Rodney Williams out of the University of Minnesota are in the exact same situations going into this year.. Both will get drafted regardless of whether or not they show great progression on their outside games, although Roberson does have his nose for rebounding on his side. They can jump out of the gym and bring excitement, defense and explosiveness to whatever team gets ahold of them. That said if either of them can show some sort of even a developing mid-range game they could be dynamite. Also both of them started putting together complete games toward the end of their respective seasons it will be interesting to see who will be able to carry over the momentum.

Roberson reminds me of a more post oriented Kwahi Leonard.  I feel he has a ton of defensive potential at the next level and the ability to guard 2’s, 3’s and 4’s, it’s just that his offensive game is pretty limited to hustle plays and wide open shots.
