Andre Iguodala

As a huge sixers fan, and I know I can speak for most of the sixers fans when I say I hope they trade him. (Don't believe me, go to a sixers home game) I think he's a pretty good player, he is just so dumb with his shot selection. Does anyone see the sixers if trading him getting a 1st round pick?

Iggy can't shoot so no he

Iggy can't shoot so no he would not feel your biggest need. Minny needs a perimeter shooter at the 2. I think Kevin Martin would work out well there if Houston trades him. Courtney would work out well too..

kevin martin

I agree kevin martin would be a perfect 2 guard in that system. he could get hot some nights and fill up the stat sheet cus of rubio, and he you wouldn't have an issue of him jacking up shots all the time like jr. smith would or someone like that.

good luck

He's owed $31million over the next 2 seasons. Good luck moving that contract. I wanted to play along and throw the Cavs #24 pick, but then I looked at Alonzo Gee and Iggy's stats and theyre not too different with the exception of a few less assists on Gee's part. Not to mention $14million less too.

Nah son

Iggy is a top perimeter defender is Alonzo Gee? I am not a Iggy fan but, put it in perspective AG is a D league sub that helped Clevland back to the lottery....Keep it real

I'd be happy with Kevin

I'd be happy with Kevin Martin too but Iggy would fit well with us as well. He is a slasher which would fit well in our system and he can run with our athletic team. We can already spread the floor pretty well so and while any perimeter shooting can always help I think Iggy would work well with Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio.

Iggy would be great for the

Iggy would be great for the Wolves. They need a shooter, yes, but lets not pretend they would be downgrading in the shooting department with Iggy replaceing Wes and Webster.

My perfect offseason would be trade Dwill, Barea andf fillers for Iggy and fillers

Sign OJ Mayo/Courtney Lee, and Birdman

Draft Meyers Leonard

Rubio/ Ridnour/Lee

Mayo/ Johnson/Ellington

Iggy/Beasley

Love/Birdman/Tolliver

Pekovic/Leonard

That team would have arguably the best perimter defense in the NBA after the Heat, and a balance of shooters, slashers, creators, and bangers (dont act like that doesnt sound funny)

rudy fernandez

I also think fernandez would be a good fit for the t-wolves plus he already has experience with playing with rubio

Or the wolves could just not

Or the wolves could just not do something rash and trade away DWill, who has some real potential to be a great player.. I'm surprised so many people are down on him after a rookie year where, lets be honest he never was going to get much playing time in, and yet he still had some real breakthrough games... A smart pickup in free agency (I like the OJ Mayo idea, though Nick Young would be ideal IMO) I think would be a lot better move than breaking up the young core they have here.. They have a chance to bring back everyone that was key in fighting above .500 about 40 games in this season, and I think they have to give that group another chance (they will be another year better). That said I can definitely see them moving barea (or would just like them to trade him) he hasn't fit in well at all and his attitude toward the team (calling everyone out for not trying) isn't the type of attitude that ought to be merited coming from the third string PG, and I like Malcolm Lee's defense off the bench..

Bringing in a player like Iggy would be a great addition (they are in need of a slashing scorer), but I don't think it's worth one of the young pieces that the wolves already have.

The thing with Iguodala is he

The thing with Iguodala is he should be the lock down perimeter defender on a title contender. His shot is very streaky, and when he's on, it seems like he can't miss, but when he's off he continues to force up bad shots. In a situation like Minnesota where he'd be asked to lock down on the other team's best wing scorer, and take the occasional open shot with Rubio, he'd be a very good fit. I don't think he's bad, he just doesn't have enough about his overall game to warrant being the guy on a team.

I know Philly fans want to

I know Philly fans want to trade Iggy, but I don't get why. Is he overpaid? Maybe - but he's also at worst the third best wing defender in the league and heart of a top 5 defense. The 6ers need a scoring 2 with range (Mayo fits damn near everywhere, doesn't he?) and to move either Turner or Holliday. Both are capable of being near-star level 1s, but it won't happen until either can be the man for the team. Figuring out what to do with Hawes would be huge, as well.

Pulse, Iggy can't work

Pulse, Iggy can't work because he needs the ball in his hands offensively. He wants to be the creator, and he's not good enough to do it. I'm not sure why you are so adamant about trading Turner or Holiday when we've never even seen them be the guys together without Iggy.

Iggy is an elite perimeter defender, you are right. Trading him seems like a weird idea, but he loves to have the ball in his hands to create, and shoot. He's not consistent enough for this to work, and that's why we've been stuck in mediocrity for so long. If he could be more catch and shoot, stick to his strengths defensively, I'd want him to stay. But he wants the ball in his hands, and that's why it doesn't work.

RWD - Then Iggy needs the

RWD -

Then Iggy needs the ball in his hands less on offense. That's coaching. He only scored like 11 per this year. He wants that, let him get it off cuts and screens. Turner and Holiday are both 1s, I think. It's really tough to start 2 young 1s and develop them simultaneously. The real problem is that I'm not sure which ends up better. Turner's size makes him wildly intriguing, but Holiday can really score and his shooting is needed for the team. I think with a proper shooting 2 with size, either would work with Iggy, and he and Brand are the single best duo of forwards defensively in the league.

yeah i went to game 3, i had a box suite, and everyone was killing him.. no one likes him, he is a great defender but he looks lost out there on offense. My trade idea

Iggy and Lavoy for Bargs and a First. with that first i would draft Henson

Pulse, maybe we are seeing

Pulse, maybe we are seeing different players here, but Evan Turner looks like a 2 guard, and Holiday looks like a 1 guard to me.

Andre Iguodala has very bad

Andre Iguodala has very bad technique as a scorer, in all other aspects of the game he's great but so inessential at creating his own shot and clumsy shooting the ball!

^^^Except that you took Iggy9

^^^Except that you took Iggy9 off of your name LMAO......JK JNixon, I know you're a fan. I'm always shocked when I see Sixers fans wanting rid of this cat. He may not be the perfect player, but IMO, he's still the best creator on the team. His defense was DPOY worthy this season and he's one heck of an open court player. No need to mention he nearly shot 40% from deep as well. The ONLY deal I would go after would be Hawes or Vucevic and Iggy for J-Smith and ZaZa. It would bring in a 4 who plays a VERY similar game to Iggy with his passing,D, and athleticism while allowing the youngens (Jrue,Evan, and Thad) to start. For ATl it allows Horford to FINALLY move over to the 4 spot while opening up more minutes and touches. Johnson will also be put in a better position to score as he won't have to handle primary playmaking duties all the time.

I suggested an Iggy to Utah

I suggested an Iggy to Utah trade on another thread and if we assume that he'd be a good fit on a contender then the options do narrow if Philly want value back.

The only other one salarywise I could see might be a deal with NOH for Okafor and then Philly swap their first rounder for the pick that NOH get from the Clippers/T-Wolves.

Maybe a team like NJ make a play for Iggy to be Deron's running mate?

I would love it if the they

I would love it if the they traded Andre to the TWolves for the #18 pick and the sixers take Doron Lamb,Waiters, Ross or Wroten or possibly Quincy Miller as a project pick. Basically anyone that can be a potential scoring threat. The sixers are missing that spark despertley. Watching their games are difficult sometimes because the D is there, but the O is pathetic at sometimes they scored in the 60's!!!!!!! last game. Thats un heard of in the NBA. especially when you allow only 77. So a scorer is what they need I think.

iggy

Andre Iguodala is about as inconsistent of a player on the offensive end as you can possibly be. I've seen enough and pray that we trade him for something good, but it has to be a good return. I don't want to just dump the guy cuz at this point we know EXACTLY what he is.
