Could we be seeing an ERA of big men in the coming future? Right now its a PG league but with Cousins,Okafor,Drummond Whiteside and Davis all these guys are Franchise pieces around the same age

idk why you would include Whiteside in the top centers talk without Gobert. They both have a similar statline but I’d give the edge to Gobert due to the fact that Gobert is younger, and he can keep his cool a lot better than Whiteside. I’d say that Gobert should definitely be in the top Center talk.

is not a skilled offensive player that is going to demand the ball.  He isn’t in the same league as the other guys, he’s not going to get as Shaq used to say 8 pts per quarter, because he will never be a focal point of a team’s offense.  There have always been big guys in the league, Gobert is more of a Tyson Chandler type.  I woudln’t include Tyson Chandler and say "era of big man".

Era of Big Man would be playoff teams with Centers as either their first or second option.

        Utah is well-balanced.

Watch the Sixers play, that team will rely on their big-men in the future.  Embiid is my hope, really hope he gets to play.

other centers we mentioned – but he is So far above All the other Centers at the Defensive end I think he’s got to be mentioned… He’s a great rebounder too… Plus at only 23, Gobert will pick up some tricks on Offense… but when you watch the Jazz play, he is a Legit 7’2” – alot of the guys we list at 6’11” are barely over 6’10” – Gobert’s height plus his wing span allow him to absolutely dominate the defensive end & to have that on your team is an incredible weapon… I see him winning multiple DPOY’s…

He will the Mutombo in an Era of Ewing, Robinson, Olajuwon, O’Neal, Rik Smits, Ostertag, Antione Carr (hah).

Nobody is mentioning Enes Kanter either, who is a solid offensive player but obviously lacks on defense.

Hope to see the resurgence of the big man.

There are some monsters out there.

Rudy Gobert is young.  We have to see what his upside is.  I have seen though (and posted) that shot blockers sometimes peak early (Bol, Mark Eaton).

25 and 29 is beast mode.

Andre Drummond will get PAID.  I think he turned down contract extension talks.  … I hope he stays in Detroit though.  Great Detroit teams are fun.

Drummond should be an all-star this year, and at this rate will be 1st team All NBA.  Okafor is a guy I have predicted will be an East All Star, but they need to win more, and Ok needs to pick up his rebounding numbers.

The center spot is loaded.  Now though I think we are getting those guys at the top, too.  Not just the mid level centers.  Right now, we are basically going to have two above average centers (at the very least) coming off the bench in Joakim Noah and Andrew Bogut.  It seems like centers like those two guys used to be ALL STARS.

It would be really cool to see Andre Drummond average 20 boards for the entire year.  Don’t think that has happened since the 60’s.

It will be so Kool if he and whiteside both land on the all star team!!!!!!!! whiteside might have the better chance because I think Miami will continue to be a top eastern team!!! I don’t know if the Pistons will contonue this streak!!!!  But if he keeps putting up these types of stats they have to put him on the team!!! Like they did cousins last year !!!

Drummond might also be playing his way into contention for the 2016 Olympic team in Rio.

He would be an ideal front court partner for either Anthony Davis or Blake Griffin — both of whom should make the team.  … even Kevin Love if he makes the team.

Delly. 1st in NBA in plus-minus per 36

2nd in NBA in assists per 36

Top 5 PG in the east. Better player than Derrick Rose, who claims its "no matchup".

    Jaw dropping enough?
