jjonzParticipantI think this move will help out the Warriors as they will be able to move into the Kings old neighborhood and get more fans.

BasketBalAllanParticipantAround a week ago I told my girlfriend that the Kings were going to change their name back to the Royals, because they have been wearing the Royals jerseys to see how they worked out. I actually do not mind the name Anaheim Royals; it would be idiotic to name them the L.A. Royals because they would get even more complaining about having three teams in L.A., at least if they stay away from naming then as if they are in L.A. maybe people can disconnect from their actually proximity to the Lakers and Clippers.

jjonzParticipanti think iread that the Lakers/Clippers were trying to Block the Move i don’t think that can happen. I wonder how successful they will be going from Sac to Aneheim. I mean do you have to set up a fan base somewhere before you can expect people to come & support you.

KayjayParticipantOkay first of all, I live in Buena Park, which is in Orange County. Buena Park is right near Anaheim which is also Orange County. Orange county is a different county than LA county. How many times do I have to keep telling people this? They would bring a different revenue. Granted, Laker fans are all over the world. But did anyone really expect the Thunder to have as many fans as they do? Maybe a change of scenery is something they need. Its a young team showing promise.

Yorba LindaThese are all the cities associated with Orange county. I live there, not in LA county. And I am very excited if the Kings come down here. Everyone I talk to, said they more than likely would pitch in money for season tickets. Its good for the county, and good for the city of Anaheim too. Opens up jobs, brings in even more tourists and makes the country thrive as a whole. Only thing I could see the Lakers getting mad at, is the fact that it knows they have fickle fans. (Must see BG)
Lol not to mention, I can get to the Honda arena in 20 minutes or less. A long with that there’s a mall called the Block not too far off from the actual arena they will start playing at. Along with angels stadium, and its a nice area there. I’m excited. I do feel bad for actual sac-town fans though. They wanted to keep their Kings.

nateoak10ParticipantBut they are very close and lets be rea. The people living in that area are Laker fans. Even some Clipper fans . Who is going to convert from LAL with Kobe or LAC with Blake for Anaheim with Cousins?

First of all, do you know how innacurate that is? Are you saying that the Warriors should move to Sacramento!? Are you out of your mind? First off, we have plenty of fans that come to see a losing team. The Kings are about a 45 minute drive north, and tof be honest they get a considerabley less amount of fans. Teams like Philly and New Orleans are playoff teams, and they get 13,000 on average for stretches of games, maybe 15,000. The Warriors consistantly get more than 16,000 fans per game. Sacramento fans are great, don’t get me wrong, but they are further away from the majority of the Bay Area, which means that fewer people are going to drive 1 hour 15 minutes, compared to just 30 minutes without traffic. And the Warriors have enough fans, the only move I could see them making is into the city,(San Francisco). But no way Would moving to Sacramento get us more fans. Are you crazy?

BasketBalAllanParticipantGoosfraba…
I do not think he meant the Warriors should move to Sac; just that more people in Sac would become Warrior fans and hence give them more support.
