One question for all of you here: everybody is talking about amnestying Boozer, while he is not in the long-term plans of the Bulls anyway. Now why would the Bulls simply use the amnesty clausule right now, getting rid of Boozer as soon as possible?

    Reasons:
    – Apparently, he doesn’t fit with the Bulls long-term plans (which I completely understand)
    – Amnestying him right now would actually make the Bulls worse on the short term, which would increase their chances on a high draft pick. Getting worse on the short term is actually a good strategy for the Bulls, especially considering they chose this path when dealing away Deng.

Probably the biggest problem of amnestying asap is Thibs & Noah getting angry about it.

What’s your opinion? Should the Bulls amnesty Boozer asap?

Players must be amnestied before the season; the Bulls can’t drop Boozer now.

I’m sure they would definitely do it right now if they could, but there is only like a 2 week period in the offseason when teams can amnesty a player.

He most likely will be amnestied in the off-season. Mirotic seems ready to come over and fill in the PF spot in the lineup at a cheaper price than Boozer. The Bulls could make a quick turn around if they play their cards right.
