Really behind Dirk? I have him ahead of Dirk………….Dirk still doesnt play defense in my book Amare isnt great at it, but he does make attempts.

I know I’m going to get neg repped for this but I don’t really care: Blake Griffin is only entering his second year in the league but frankly I think he is already better than Amare. He’s just as explosive and unstoppable around the basket, Amare has a better face up game but Griffin is the better ball handler. Defensively they are about equal but Griffin has shown a willingness to work on his D and should be better in the future. In terms of rebounding, motor and passing, Griffin has the clear edge.

^ I somewhat agree with you ItsDwight. Amare’s motor coming into the league = Griffin’s motor now. Griffin does seem more skilled than Amare too. I’m not ready to give him the "he’s better" tag yet but he definitely has the potential.

I’d put both Dirk and Pau over Amare at this point. Until he can show that he can be a dominant force "without a great point guard" I’ll keep him in the 3 spot.
