Has looked reallly impressive for the Spurs Summer League squad. He reminds me a lot of Ronnie Brewer because of his athleticism and plus he’s so active on the court and is always around the ball. Hope he finds a home in the NBA, because i know he was lighting it up for the Austin Torro’s of the NBDL last season.

Big-time athlete with the raw ability to put the ball in the basket. He’s a subpar ball-handler though. He will have to make it in the league by defending very well and making plays in transition. He already does the transition thing well, but he has to develop defensive instincts which could very well come with more experience.

Good post. It is good to give some of the under the radar guys (e.g. Gee) some air time. No clue why someone came through and gave you two both negatives. I guess the post was not about LeBron or Wade.

He is super athletic, but Ronnie Brewer came into the league with more skill (aside from maybe shooting). At Arkansas he was a good ball handler, and distributer. However, he became a defensive stopper once in Utah. Gee was more of a dash and crash type of guy.

Seriously though, Gee’s potential break will be if he makes a team that will work with him to develop a definate skill. That skill could be shooting, ball handling, or defence. he needs something other then build and athleticism to make it, and he will have to find a master to teach him.

I wish the Wizards kept him. They signed him to two 10-day contracts ad he really impressed. Even Flip Saunders said he wanted to keep him, but the Wizards let him go. Another reason Ernie Grunfeld should be fired.

It’s always good following up on productive College basketball players. That’s what true basketball fans do. It’s unfortunate that everyone we follow from High School (McDonald All American/5 star/4 star prospects) and College (Dynamic freshman/3-4 year staple players who ended up being the star of the team) aren’t going to be able to make the NBA, but this is why some of us watch the Summer League’s closely it’s because players we recognized who are good, but not good enough to play in the league can get some notoriety.

But as for Gee. He has the tools to work with like you said, but there are way too many players with his same skillset (athleticism and build) that have a lot more to offer. He may or may not make an NBA team ever but it’s good seeing him showcase his talents, because it’s 100% somebody whether in the NBA, or Europe will take notice and give him his due.

Gee starts at the 3. He’s getting 32 min w/ the spurs. They like him. He’s athletic, defensive (2.7 spg), rebounds, and the spurs will make him a keeper in the league. Everything I said earlier comes to fruition if he sticks with the Spurs. That club makes players out of under the radar guys every year.
