What is with tony allen , he averages 7.6 points a game normaly and agaist okc this year he is averaging 18.7? why is this

I remember before the RayAllen trade when Tony Allen got minutes, he was playing real good until he messed up his knee.  I also though Tony Allen was a solid player that could start but with Boston, that was not going to happen. Allen is a better fit in the starting line up than Mayo.  Memphis should trade Mayo and they should have moved him earlier when he had more value.  They are set at every position right now.  They may not have super stars but they are deep and Randolph who will probably leave as a free agent is playing like a superstar.  Also when Gay comes back this could be a dark horse team in the West that not many would want to face because they are deep.

Anyone who still thinks Thabo Sefolosha is an elite defender needs to watch tape of this game.  His only good game of the year came against the Lakers recently on national tv.

As a whole, his defense is no where near last year’s.  He can’t make his teammates better defenders like Dwight can.  Thabo can be a good defender in the right system, but now that Ron Adams is in Chicago, he’s nearly worthless on the court because of his lack of offense as well.

 His defense has been pretty good, don’t judge by one game, he did a great job in Pheonix and always gets rebounds and steals due to his length
