I think they did a pretty good job IMO. Might not be the most popular picks, but I wouldn’t really  change anything.

1st Team: Donovan Mitchell, Ben Simmons, Jayson Tatum, Kyle Kuzma, Lauri Markkanen

2nd Team: Dennis Smith Jr, Lonzo Ball, John Collins, Bogdan Bogdonavic, Josh Jackson

Who was your biggest disappointment? I’d say for me it’s Jackson and Ball.

Can’t really argue with any of those choices. The only thing I could see going differently is if they thought Ball missed too many games and then they would have Fox over him. But I wouldn’t make that change.

Very deep class. Can’t go wrong with any of those picks. In any other year Guys like Brooks,Fox and Allen who were left off both teams, would be 1st teamers.  I might be wrong but I think this might be the very first time, a rookie class have had 15 players average double figures in scoring.

The 1 person who didn’t vote Tatum 1st team should get fired

     I counted 10 players that average 10+ppg.

Dillon Brooks had a good rookie season

Adebayo should have made 2nd team over Ball or even Smith … he was really impressive and the heat actually needed him to do things.

As a Heat Fan, I don’t really mind his omission from the All-Rookie team. He’ll do a lot more next season once Spo put him in the starting lineup and Whiteside is gone.

Smith averaged 15/5/5. You can put him over Ball, but not Smith.

What a rookie class. The Raptors best defensive player OG Anunoby didnt make the cut and I cant even argue with it. Good list.

Forgot about Anunoby, he should have made 2nd team too. Maybe even 1st team over Markkanen, who put up garbage stats for a garbage team.

15 and 5 is garbage? And why does it matter what team he played for? He didn’t choose who drafted him, all he did was go out and play

It’s actually been 4 yrs. Last time 2nd pick made first team was Oladipo in 2013. Last time before that was Michael Beasley in 2009.

I’m happy with this list. It’s amazing that we can even talk about people who got left out; excellent rookie class.

As far as biggest disappointment from this class so far I’d say it has to be Fultz. Easily the most underwhelming rookie season for a number one pick that actually played since Anthony Bennett. Completely lost his jump shot (due to injury or confidence) and couldn’t even get mins over tj McConnell and Marco bellinelli in the playoffs. I know it was a weird season for him, and I still think there is plenty of time to turn things around. However, at the moment he is making Danny ainge look like a genius.

B/c Fultz was injured for 85% of the year & he looked very good when he returned for the final 12 games – Fultz’s per 36 #’s were 14ppg 7.5 ast & 6 reb & he was getting to the FT line off dribble pentration

And he still has not turned 20 years old

    Was his season a disappointment?

    Absolutely

    Is he Anthony Bennett?

Not even close – Phila is still Very high on him & they see him every day in practice so I’d reserve Judgement

Especially since in the last 5 years we’ve seen Nerlens Noel, MCW, Jahlil Okafor, Joel Embiid & Ben Simmons ALL make 1st team ALL NBA Rookie team from the 76ers – 3 of those guys are full blown Busts & the other 2 look like lock Hall of Famers

So Fultz is still in play for me – if after next season he’s still struggling then I’m on board but w/ the Bust tag but his size & skills package as a Teen Ager are Too impressive so I’m gonna hold off

I’m fine w/ the picks – Very Deep class

I wasn’t comparing him to Bennett. I still think he could have a very bright future. I was just saying that he had easily the most disappointing rookie season for a number one pick since Bennett.
