It's almost that time of the year to see the best of the best dunkers around the league. I've took it upon myself to give you the "Best" there never was, because I have not seen any footage to date showing this guy was built like that for a contest.
All elevation with no gratification!
Allen Iverson 41inch vert meant nothing in regards to contest material.
What point are you trying to make? I'm lost.
Can you not comprehend?
I don't get the question either so I think it has more to do with your writing skills than his comprehension.
There was no question asked in the opening post.
I can comprehend just find; can you make clearer posts? Are you trying to say that AI is the best dunker to never be in the dunk contest? Cuz that isn't too hard to put into understandable terms...
I'm not saying he was the best, but quite a few have put him on a pedestal as a little guy who would've won the contest when he entered. My arguement is what video evidence do we have to show he was capable of doing so. There has not been any lost archive footage of him doing some spectacular things.
I'v never heard anyone say AI would have won if he had entered...
Watch that 30 for 30 on AI and you will see some video evidence of how good a dunker he was before he reached the most difficult league in the world.
Took 10 seconds to find:
So any of you seen him throw down 360s windmills etc?
He def. had a 41 inch vertical and plenty of nba players have crazy bounce but dont use it in the NBA cuz thts not their game. Brandon Jennings can do windmills and between the legs dunks, but he doesnt even really play above the rim unless its in transition
No we haven't saw him throw down a 360 windmill. We also aren't saying he would have won the dunk contest.
I dont even remember anyone even looking at AI as a big time dunker, just solid, even though id say he cud do alot if not most dunks
I'm 6'0, and I have a 18 inch vert(don't laugh!), adn I can still get my whole hand on the backboard, if you add a whole two feet to that, you have crazy athletcism.
Sorry in advance...hahahahaha
say Iverson played like he was the only one on his team, but is he really the only one you're gonna list here?
YupYup, no need to be sorry, lol. I have a great midrange shot, can hit threes, have an array of reliable post moves, Can split defenders with the dribble, and the uncanny ability to make the craziest shot, and despite my insanly weak jumping skills, I can get boards really well, my conditioning is my main problem.
Aamir.. Sounds like you are Baron Davis..
^I actually think of myself as more of the Kendrick Perkins type with an offensive game, cause I'm a big more than a guard.
Well, honestly, at the Y, Baron Davis (with normal people) probably is Perkins+Offense.
