BasterdInABasketParticipantWhere would you rank Burks compared to Hamilton and Honeycutt?

NJHooper95ParticipantI think Burk has the most upside of any shooting guard in the draft, and thats not saying much considering how weak the draft looks. And im not going off of one game, the kid show last year as a freshman he could play. He has very good athleticism and a decent stroke, a bit on the small side as far a weight, but he is definitely a talent.

flyboyParticipantHe definitely had a good game yesterday. He’s too athletic, long and big to defend once he gets a head of steam in the open court or when he decides to put the ball on the floor, and he does a pretty decent job seeking out contact, so ultimately he gets fouled a lot. His perimiter shooting isn’t where it needs to be yet, but he does have some crafty head/ball fakes and some change of pace moves off the dribble to create openings. He also played decent defense when the Buffaloes came back in the game and showed some ability to create shots for others and decent court vision at times. He needs to get stronger, be a little more under control and improve his shooting but he’s got a lot of potential and has improved his game.

flyboyParticipantI’d put Hamilton slightly ahead of Burks, because he has more versatility and he’s a better shooter and overall seems more refined offensively. With that said, he’s a volume scorer and it’s questionable if he can actually fit into an offense without being a feature option. He’s also only average athletically, and he may have issues getting to the basket in the NBA. With all of this said, Hamilton *can* fit a role in the NBA with his shooting/length/strength combination and ability to create shots. Burks has to improve his shooting and ballhandling to get where he needs to be.

Dale WorthingtonParticipantSoooooooo underrated.
No one gives him credit but I think that’s mainly because he plays at Colorado.
I would definitely take him in the top 10.

JNixonParticipantBurks has grown on me, I must admit. He’s developed a better off the dribble game and he can make shot from 18 feet out with decency. I’d like Burks to get stronger and expand his shooting range, but he’s clearly a worker and he should be a solid pro. He reminds me of Josh Childress, but he needs to work on his jumper. He can get to the rim very well, and he’s a solid finisher to for someone with his level of strength.

OhCanada-ParticipantBurks will be a Top 10 pick wen its all said and done but I dont see him having a great impact in the NBA unless he goes to a team with a virtually empty roster. A team olike Cleveland would be a good place for him to end up, along with one of the post players in the draft. Similar to Evan Turner.

teamjosh04ParticipantI’m a big fan. He put on a show in the second half against Texas. He’s not a great 3-pt shooter or spot up guy, but he actually is very good operating off the dribble. He also has good court vision to go along with the ability to deliever the ball to open teammates. I was impressed to see him finish an "and one" while banging into Jordan Hamilton’s body. He has shown great balance and control of his body.
Lottery guy for sure

Dale WorthingtonParticipantIt doesn’t matter who he goes to, empty roster or not, IMO. He’s gonna be a perennial 20-25 PPG player (maybe not from the get-go, but after a few years of seasoning, he’ll be there).

JoeWolf1There’s a lot of really big Burks supporters on this site. He’s a player with the tools to be a good pro, and IMO a good 13-15 ppg 3rd option on offense who’s good in transition. I know everyone who loves him doesn’t watch Colorado basketball. I’m curious as to which Burks fanatics have actually seen him play more than…lets say once or twice.
