Al Jefferson for Jeff Green?

Seems like the Thunder and Wolves would be good trading partners.

They could also potentially add in James Harden and some first rounders for the 4th pick.

Then they can sign Joe Johnson.

Westbrook
Johnson
Durant
Jefferson
Cousins

Jefferson/Green

Ironically both are related to Celtics moves in summer of 2007....Green was taken with Celtics' pick in Ray Allen trade and Jefferson in Garnett trade

Jeff Green, James Harden,

Jeff Green, James Harden, Nick Collision 21st and 26th for Al Jefferson and 4th.

If Rubio is for sure signing with the team in 2011, I think it works out for the Wolves.

Rubio
Harden
Green
Love
???

Flynn as a top 6th man in the league

Your gonna get killed for this one

They'd be decent trade partners but the trade has to be Clearer than this...The Thunder couldn't get Al and JJ...Pluss they don't need JJ...they have Harden and Thabo...Al for Greene and Krystic and Picks maybe...but this only happens if T'Wolves trade for Turner and give up 4th and 16th to do it ...they may also give up 23 too so the OKC 1st rounders make sense...But I Think OKC wants this deal with The Raptors or Suns For Bosh or Amare...Don't count out NY with D.Lee...The Knicks would love Greene and The Picks...That's the most likely scenario...OKC would get Lee who doesn't need the ball...in fact he'd shine cleaning up KD's missed shots...He'd play the 4 too...They'd have the Cash to Get a good Center in Free Agency( a1 year thing of course) Greene and a few mid first picks for D.Lee sounds fair..I do believe Chandler is on the way out for NY...Greene would be great in NY...The Knicks in my Opinion would try to trade Wilson for a guy like Monroe in the draft ...Use the OKC picks to Draft a Center and Point Guard maybe even a shooter...It would make up for the Rockets Tmac Draft pick giveaway....

I like the look of that

I like the look of that possible team but, are the Thunder going to give up Green?? I mean he seem to fit their style with spreading out the floor and allowing Durant and Westbrook to drive and kick.. Heck, even their C can get out of the way and make shots... If they trade Green for Al and pickup Cousins, then their system changes.. They would impliment lots of pick and rolls along with more half court sets...

Why not keep Green and draft Cousins to go along with Ibaka, Collison, and Krstic..

if they want Al

THEY CAN GIVE UP HARDEN AN FIND A PLAYER TO MATCH THE SALARY plus a draft pick

then they can keep green and go after a sg like wade or joe major upgarde

this way

the wolves can have a line up of

demarcus
harden
flynn
love

or a scoring nightmare
in

wes
harden
flyn
love

plus the rubio contract and a draft pick

i dont talk much trade talk but that can work

because the wolves been in need of a sg since the kg days i have no idea why they traded mayo because foye wasnt the answer at sg

i think harden will do good in the triangle offense

and okc can keep green put him at pf on bring him off the bench and put Al at power foward

if the sign wade or joe with the cap room they got this will be a serouis contender in the west

why would the wolves trade

why would the wolves trade jefferson and the 4th for jeff green and james harden? Jefferson is better than both those players and give up the 4th i dont think that would go down. I dont even think Green is that good he shoots better from 3 because he has KD and westbrook dishing to him when they slash.

look at the gasol trade we

look at the gasol trade we thought it was a give away
but if they didnt trade gasol they wouldnt have got hasheem, mayo, zach, or marc gasol

everything isnt lopsided sometimes you have to let go for the future of the team why not fix a problem now before it comes back to bite you were you dont want to be bit you need a sg you have one of the worst front courts in the league why not get the sg in make room for this years draftee you will choose

Not saying this trade is

Not saying this trade is entirely fair but its possible. The Wolves seem to really hate Al Jefferson and obtaining your future SG and SF while getting rid of a bad contract seems possible. Thunder trade 21st and 26th pick as well and the 32nd if they have to. Jeff Greens value might be higher than Jeffersons.

Why not Al to Sixers?

The T-Wolves are big on Turner, so why not make a draft-night offer of Jefferson for Dalembert and the No. 2? Minnesota gets a defensive center to play next to Love, and if they're not sold on Dalembert long-term they can still use the No. 4 pick on DeMarcus Cousins.

T-Wolves lineup:
PG -- Flynn (or possibly Rubio down the line) / Sessions
SG -- Turner / Wilkins
SF -- Brewer / Gomes
PF -- Love / Hollins
C -- Dalembert / Cousins

And the Sixers get a proven 20-10 guy in Jefferson who can contribute right away.

There is no one associated with the Wolves that hates Al Jefferson. His contract is far from bad.... the term bad contract is reserved for players that don't produce (Brand,Charlie V., Ben Gordon) and are overpaid. If it was a bad contract you wouldn't find teams lining to trade for it. Jeff Greens value higher than Jefferson's? lol

The Wolves

The Wolves are not going to hold a "fire sale"..... it's not like they are only a player or 2 way from a championship. The Wolves will make their draft picks and go through the freeagency process with their 21 mil. capspace figuring out what pieces they have before trading anybody.

im not opposed to trading Al.

im not opposed to trading Al. But why would the wolves want to get james harden and first rounders for the 4th pick that makes no sense to me. And if you are talking about trading jeff green straight up for Al jefferson its clear jefferson is better.

I would love that deal

I don't think it's smart for the Thunder, but as a Wolves fan I would love that deal. Getting Green, Harden, and a draft pick for Jefferson and a pick would be epic! Jefferson is a less crazy (i.e. off the court) version of Zach Randolph- an offensive black hole who will get his numbers, but the offense has to run through him or he's unhappy. Getting Green and Harden would take care of our crappy wing situation, and we'd still have money to pursue Rudy Gay, as well as maybe take a center in the draft. For the Thunder, I don't like this deal. Their offense is fast-break, share the ball style. Adding Jefferson would make them play half court, and I don't think he could mesh with that style well. Also, Al doesn't even have the word "defense" in his vocabulary. I've watched him let point guards drive past him and literally watch them dunk. Losing Harden and Green makes them lose spot-up shooters as well as guys who will do the dirty work Jefferson won't (like play defense). As a Wolves fan, I love this deal, but if I were a Thunder fan and this happened, I would consider this a huge step backwards.

trading Al

If the Wolves trade Al Jefferson they need to replace his scoring. Green doesn't supply enough. Love takes care of the rebounds and about 15-16 points per game from Jefferson. After that someone needs to replace Loves #s since he's taking Al's spot. Jefferson was the only Wolves player that could score inside. He shouldn't be traded before replacing what the Wolves would be losing.

Who's going to score? Harden was a bust compared all other players in the top 10 other than Thabeet. Neither of those players do enough to make that trade. Basketball is a game of mismatches and difference makers and those guys don't provide that.

If the Wolves trade Al

If the Wolves trade Al Jefferson for a Jeff Green, it would put a big gapping hole at their Center position. The only way they do the trade is if they end up with Demarcus Cousins to take Jefferson's place. Otherwise the trade doesn't make them a better team if they don't get atleast a young center to replace Jefferson.

harden a bust ??? haaaaaaa he

harden a bust ??? haaaaaaa he didnt start because thabo anchors the d harden had a nice 6 man role for a rookie now green is untouchable he gives durant and westbrook room to operate not to mention cause a mismatch and holds his own against todays hybrid pf and over powers sf now we all seen harden in college he will flourish in the tri angle dont forget the wolves wanted him last draft but missed out . im not one for trade talk but harden.. the expiring contract of collison and a draft pick or two is a possible reasonable trade the wolves get there sg of the future without taking a bad contract from the sixers(there draftin evan and keeping him im from philly hes the only one on the sixers site) and they can ether get demarcus now that AL is gone or draft wes and put a end to brewer a role player not a nba starter .......wes..harden...and flynn can flourish by getting harden and moving jefferson many better opportunity come knocking
