Hes a steal waiting to happen for the teams who trades for him.

The general concensus is he will be traded, and a lot of people think it will be for cheap. You realize this guy put up dominating number his two years before they switched to the triangle right? he averaged over 21, and 11 both years before this year.

Pau Gasol was considered a huge steal, but his numbers were worse than Jeffersons, Gasol never averaged 10 rebounds a game at Memphis, he never averaged more than a little over 20 points a game. And they both were on bad teams.

Jeffersons trade stock has plummeted way down, i even heard someone suggest Turkoglo for him straight up. Hes a steal waiting to happen, and his salary isnt quite horrible, hes making thirteen million next year, at 26, and a year ago averaging 23, and 11.

Some teams gonna get lucky……… Minnesotta has Love as their future, and their gonna regret this trade if it happens for a long time.

Who will be the lucky team?

Trading Turner at 2 and Sammy Dalembert for Big Al and the 4th sounds good…almost like a steal…If your the Sixers why not trade Iggy and the 4th the Clippers for Kaman and the 9th…Let them replace Kaman with Cousins and add Iggy as their much needed SF..The Sixers would get 2 steals…A front court that can score and defend…add the depth of Brand and Speights and a good Guard with the 9th pick…Holiday,Henry,Young,Jefferson,Kaman,Brand,Speights,Williams,Meeks…Kapono and Green’s 10 Million in expiring cash next year and go after a stud guard or wing…Henry will be a great player IMO…If the Sixers can move back…get pieces like Kaman and Jefferson while targeting Henry in the top 10 they’ll be the real winners of the Summer…Iggy and Sammy D are perfect trade pieces along with the 2nd pick in this years draft…They could move back twice and be the better team for it…Allowing The Wolves and Clippers to draft players they would love to have while dumping contracts along the way,,,,…

Al Jefferson is a good player coming off a bad season. Do you honestly David Kahn would trade Al Jefferson for nothing. The Timberwolves are not going to win a championship next year so what’s the rush in trading some of their best assests for nothing. Why not give the young core(Big Al, K.Love,Flynn,Brewer,Ellington, and draft picks) a chance to learn the triangle? Al Jefferson is the franchise player right now and if he were ever to get traded it would be at the trade deadline not no time soon. The Timberwolves have too much cap space and draft picks to make stupid trades.

Turner is a franchise player to T’Wolves fans…why not take on Sammy for one year and get their guy…K.Love is in place and pick 16 can get you Back up F(Udoh,Babbit,Davis,Donatas) They free themselves up for next year as well with this trade (Ricky Rubio and Pekovic buy out) Sammy’s 12 million expiring contract can give them lots of flexibilty going forward…Philly may even throw in J.Smith or L.Williams to make Wolves happy…

Al jefferson is is a stiff. Hes a classic case of a high school NBA body who grew out of it way to fast. hes got great post moves, but hes completely immobile and useless on the defensive end. he doesnt run the floor, isnt a guy who can get a post stop on his own man, and not a threat as a weak side shot bocker. He’s your typical Zach Randolph who can put up a box score with having essentially no impact on the outcome of an NBA basketball game. at least Kevin Love likes to rebound and can make some nice passes. if ANYONE would take Al Jefferson off Minny’s hands they should listen. do any of you actually watch basketball, or do you all just read the morning paper and SLAM magazine?

Stop discrediting yourself in such a obvious manner. Big Al has some of the best post moves in the league and Love is one of the 2 best rebounders in the league. Sounds like you might have your own persoinal agenda here.

I know the Bulls would be interested. I know they talked about a Deng For Jefferson swap before the deadline. But now the Wolves might be a little more willing to trade Big Al.

    Rose
    Mike Miller?, Hinrich
    LeBron
    Jefferson
    Noah

    Flynn
    Brewer
    Deng
    Kevin Love
    DeMarcus Cousins

Bulls get a improved bigman….and the Wolves improve their starting 5 with the addition of Deng and Cousins.

First, his recent DWI was handled as well as I’ve seen any athlete handle a potential scandal in years. It won’t impact his value. M.A.D.D. are about the only hold outs who thinking it’s an issue in this case.

Second, he was coming off a serious injury where the expected rehab time was 12 plus months before we would looks like his old self if ever. Of course his value dropped when he was injured, but he’s bounced back pretty well.

Third, he was part of a crappy team with a new offense, coaching staff, and president of basketball operations. Kahn told MN that the team would suck and suck bad before the year started, but that he and Rambis needed a year to clean out bad contracts and to evaluate Love, Jefferson, Flynn and Rubio (he was still convinced Rubio would join the Wolves at this point). Other GMs are smart enough to realize when evaluating any of the Wolves’ potential trade options (Love, Jefferson, Brewer and Rubio’s rights) that last year was part of a front office overhaul and hardly any single players responsibility.

Finally, the Wolves are on a 5 year plan to turn the franchise around. There is almost no fan base to lose. Unless Taylor gets antsy and fires Kahn next off-season, Kahn should have another 2-3 years before winning really starts to be expected. Jefferson may very well be traded, but I don’t sense Kahn is under enough pressure to be stupid about it. If Jefferson goes I expect it to benefit his new team immediately and the Wolves almost as much. Otherwise I think Wolves fan (all four of them) can expect to see Love coming off the bench for another year while their young core “develops”.
