Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI was wondering, how come people talk about David Lee in a sign and trade and don’t bring up Al Harrington at all? I believe one of these middle playoff pack teams (Dallas, Phoenix, Milwuakee, Atlanta) and even some late lotto teams (Memphis, New Orleans) could use him as a 6th man. The Knicks could still get some value for him and be able to sign 2 max level Free Agents.
Do you think the Knicks could get something for Al Harrington?

Captain LParticipantWhat is Harrington’s salary?

TRC1991Participanthis salary is $10,026,875

TRC1991ParticipantAl averaged 17.7 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.5 apg, 0.9 spg, 0.4 bpg, 43.5% FG, 34% 3PT
i think a team will be hesitant to take on his contract to be honest…he is a nice inside/outside threat but that contract and his age (11 years in the league) could turn some teams off
in my opinion, he’s like an antawn jamison–hes a nice off the bench option but you cant rely on him as a starter if you’re trying to win a championship

bkballerParticipantA) there is no contract he is a free agent so he can sign for w/e

loccenupParticipantMilwaukee wouldn’t want anything do with him unless the knicks take on Mike Redd or Dan Gadruzic. Those are the only contacts close to what Al would make. danny G- $ 7.5 mil or Redd’s at 18.5 plus. so neither or them are close plus unless Al signs only a one year deal milwaukee doesn’t need him when their big free agency is only a year away.

sheltwon3ParticipantHarrington put up good numbers but he was not really someone Knicks felt they could go to on a consistent basis. He is better as a 6th man and I doubt anyone pays him more than 5 mill.

doubledribblerParticipantWow, has it gotten to this point already? The Knicks fans are hoping for a sign and trade of Al Harrington. Would any team want him bad enough to trade anything decent for him? Guy is on the downside of his career and even at his best he only put up good numbers on bad teams.
