Aamir Talks Smack About How His Fantasy Team is Going to Win Consolation Bracket Match
What a classy guy Welcome to The ProudGrandpa's MedicareCrew at Jose Calderon for MVP Smack Board
Aamir Shaikh (Apr 1 10:03 PM): Don't mean to be a dick but you do know that you have absolutely no chance, right? I'm 54-10-6 in the last 7 weeks. If you win this week, I'll trade you my entire team, but right now you have George, Iggy, an aging Nash, and 10 waiver wire players
Jacob Stallard (Apr 2 11:55 AM): you play ball like a girrrrrrrrrl
Jacob Stallard (Apr 2 11:57 AM): Well, 6 of those "waiver wire players" are consistently scoring in double-figures
Aamir Shaikh (Apr 2 9:15 PM): I may not be the best ball player, but you do not want to battle down low with me for boards, throwing elbows has become a habit, I liken myself to a Reggie Evans or Kendrick Perkins wort of guy.
Aamir Shaikh (Apr 2 9:15 PM): *sort
Aamir Shaikh (Apr 2 9:16 PM): And let me rebuff your claims: Butler- Great player, love his multi-catagory prowess, but he is only getting run because of injuries, not a reliable fantasy option.
Aamir Shaikh (Apr 2 9:18 PM): I'll give you Wilkins and Patterson(although Patterson is very inconsistent) Aamir Shaikh (Apr 2 9:18 PM): Do not get me stated on Myers Leonard
Aamir Shaikh (Apr 2 9:18 PM): *started
Aamir Shaikh (Apr 2 9:19 PM): PJ Tucker is a scrub, just try playing with him in Team Up on 2K once, he's pretty bad. He's a good defender, but calling him a consistent double-figure scorer is laughable.
Aamir Shaikh (Apr 2 9:20 PM): Zeller is nice, but there's a reason I dropped him
Jacob Stallard (Apr 2 10:14 PM): Um...They're still 6 guys consistently scoring in double-figures...no matter how much you hate big white guys or how horrible the video game incarnation from a year ago of one of my players may be
We're fighting for a COVETED spot in the finals of the league's consolation bracket
Dude, it was a joke, chill
I know, I know. I'm joking, as well.
I just thought it was kind of silly of you and maybe you should take Social Skills class before you graduate
And you're talking about social skills as you post this here? Dude, that was light-hearted trash talk, sorry if you got offended, but I don't think it's a very big deal
I wasn't offended, I just thought your rationale, particularly regarding Tucker and Butler was...intersting, and I felt like sharing it with the site
What's so interesting about it? Butler is a great young player, he also showed flashes of this potential 2 months ago when he averaged 15 and 7 with 1.5 steals during an 11 game stretch, but Deng and Noah missed games during those stretches which resulted in him getting 43+ minutes 6 of those 11 games. Now that Noah is out and more minutes are available once again, he's playing great ball and amazing defense. Not sure what's confusing about it.
And I don't mean to be harsh but Tucker is a scrub, he's a nice hustle player and defensive guy, good rebounder for a guard, but are you really going to buy 10 and 6 over an 8 game stretch for one of the worst teams in the league? Gortat is out, Dragic missed two of those games, Jermaine O'Neal has missed more than half of those games, Beasley's minutes are spotty, Hamed Haddadi is getting run(HAMED HADDADI!) and Wesley Johnson has been their go-to scorer when Dragic was out.
And if you ever want me to share anything with the site, I'd be more than glad to do so.
Can a mod just delete this already?
