8 statements, so bold, they could be DEADLY to my points....

1. NBA will have a lockout and it will be long, drawn out, and retarded.. These guys who stayed in college for another year are going to be very happy they did... Also, there will be a few rotation guys who just leave the NBA and never return..

2. The best player in this draft will not be drafted in the top 5.. Maybe not even in the top 10 depending on what he does to his stock...

3. As bad as I hate it.. The ECF next year will be the Heat vs. Knicks....

4. With Mike Brown leading the team. The Lakers will lose 1 of the best 4 players this coming season.. Kobe, Byum, Pau, or Lamar will be gone before the playoffs..

5. Joe Alexander will be a consistant role player next year in the NBA..

6. Kyrie Irving will never be an All-Star

7. Rudy Gay's return will hurt the Grizzlies unless Mayo is gone...

8. Greg Oden will finally play 60+ games in a single season, next year.

Interesting Take I agree with

Interesting Take I agree with a few of your posts

1. NBA will have a lockout and it will be long, drawn out, and retarded.. These guys who stayed in college for another year are going to be very happy they did... Also, there will be a few rotation guys who just leave the NBA and never return..( I thought about this but I don't see it happening because if there is a lock out than the whole season will be missed and I think the NFL lockout will be the reason why there is no NBA lockout. The teams making money will not stand for it.)

2. The best player in this draft will not be drafted in the top 5.. Maybe not even in the top 10 depending on what he does to his stock...( I agree with this statement but who are you refering to)

3. As bad as I hate it.. The ECF next year will be the Heat vs. Knicks....

( I agree my homie who is a Knicks fan I told him that he would be good for Heat to win this year so when Knicks beat them next year with a better big 3 or 21/2 it makes a better story and really lifts up New York which will ulitmately be great for the league as well)

4. With Mike Brown leading the team. The Lakers will lose 1 of the best 4 players this coming season.. Kobe, Byum, Pau, or Lamar will be gone before the playoffs..(This is possibly and I think it could be Pau and Lamar or just Pau Gasol)

5. Joe Alexander will be a consistant role player next year in the NBA..( I dont agree with this one because this draft is full of role players that can play a supporting role better than he can)

6. Kyrie Irving will never be an All-Star( I disagree because at worst he will be Mike Conley or Mo Williams. Conley may never make it but in the East Irving could if one of top guys get hurt maybe not soon but at some point)

7. Rudy Gay's return will hurt the Grizzlies unless Mayo is gone...f( I disagree because Gay would give them something they needed and he is not the heart of this team so his game and ego will not stand up to Randolph or Tony Allen and he will get in where he fits in)

8. Greg Oden will finally play 60+ games in a single season, next year.( I believe if there is a season that this will happen but if there is a lockout, this will not happen)

The Grizzlies will be better

The Grizzlies will be better with Rudy Gay. The Grizzlies will be better with OJ Mayo coming off the bench. If OJ Mayo doesn't like that then he can go somewhere else. Undersized combo guards are easier to find than first rate athletic wing men who can score 20 points a game and hit buzzer beating shots.

I don't think Kyrie Irving will be an all-star either. Clearly ahead of him I have Rose, Westbrook, Chris Paul, Derron Williams, Steve Nash, Tony Parker, and Rajon Rondo. Those are 7 guys. Assuming each all-star team has 3 point guards then you still have one of those guys being left off every year. I would also put John Wall and Stephen Curry ahead of him. Wall has elite speed. Curry has an elite shot and a good basketball IQ. Billups might still have a decent year in him, and in New York he will get more all-star votes than Kyrie Irving. So those are 10 guys who are better than Irving. With the playoffs that Jason Kidd is having he is still a great player with an incredible basketball IQ. With good conditioning he could still probably play 2 or 3 more years. So that is another guy who Kyrie Irving would be inferior to. I would probably put Irving in the Conley, Brandon Jennings, Raymond Felton, Andre Miller, and Ty Lawson category. But, I think Brandon Knight and Kemba Walker could be in that mix too.

Also, Baron Davis and Ramon Sessions on their good days are probably better than Kyrie Irving. So Irving, at times might only be the 3rd best point guard ON HIS OWN TEAM.

I don't see the Knicks getting to the Eastern Conference Finals. They will be the 3rd best team in the East AT BEST (behind the Heat and Bulls). They don't play defense, and have 2 guys who are ball hogs who score on iso's and mid-range jumpers.

4/8... not so crazy

1. Disagree - Too much money on the line for owners and players

2. Agree - It's a weak draft so it is very possible

3. Agree - Boston is done. NY adds a big piece this summer and they are better than Chicago and Atlanta

4. Agree - Even with Mike Brown one of this guys will go... I think it will be Gasol.

5. Disagree - Alexander is too injury prone.

6. Agree - People underestimate how difficult it is to be an all-star. Raymond Felton was a best and wasn't one. There's a limited amount of spots.

7. Disagree - Gay and Mayo can play alongside each other. It's obvious Zach Randolph is their go to guy anyway.

8. Disagree - Greg Oden is really damaged goods. Very unfortunate.

What the heck? You're speaking as if Irving will only play 1 season in the NBA. Parker, Nash, Kidd, Miller, and Billups are on their way out. Kyrie, depending on if he stays healthy, should be in the league for a while. You are giving him no chance whatsoever, and I hope he proves everyone wrong.

I agree with most of your 8 points to an extent, though I hope the 1st one isn't true.

Who do you think is the best player in this draft?

bennydabull, yeah, some of

bennydabull,

yeah, some of those guys are on the way out but RIGHT NOW some of those vets are BETTER than Irving. I also think that Nash and Kidd can still around for 2 or 3 more years as can Tony Parker. The next tier of point guards I put him with are younger guys like Curry, Jennings, Felton, and Lawson -- those guys will be around for years. John Wall is very young and will also be playing at a high level during Irving's career.

Take out TP and Nash and there are STILL 5 point guards who are better than Irving. Since each all-star team has four guards along with 2 other players who can play either position then I am not sure teams get more than 3 point guards every year (one starting, one in the second team, and one point guard picked with one of the wild card spots).

I think that Kyrie Irving might end up like Rod Strickland who was never really a top 4 or 5 point guard but he had a good career with great numbers and was usually in that 6-15 range among point guards. Good stats, but his teams never won a lot and he never made the all-star team either.

Among guys being drafted this year I think there is a better chance that Derrick Williams becomes a top 5 pure small forward (behind LeBron, Durant, Carmelo, and Rudy Gay). I have Dirk as a power forward/combo forward. Or Williams could be the 6th best small forward behind Dirk, LeBron, Durant, Carmelo, and Rudy Gay. I can see Derrick Williams being a cross between Atawn Jamison, Iggy, and Shawn Marion with some flashes of Amare Stoudemire.

I can see Enes Kanter being a top five center one day. Dwight Howard is clearly the best center, but there is a drop off with the next guys with guys like Marc Gasol, Andrew Bogut, Andrew Bynum and Roy Hibbert. (I think Al Horford is more of a power forward). I can see Kanter being a bit better all-around than Hibbert, probably more like Marc Gasol who is currently a top 5 center. Bogut is good but he is not really a go-to guy on offense. Best case scenario for Kanter: turns into a top 2 or 3 center. Worst case: still a top 4 or 5 center in terms of offensive production.

Lol It's funny how Kyrie went

Lol It's funny how Kyrie went from being the next CP3 to an average point guard in the NBA because supposedly this is a "weak draft".

Parker's game is based on

Parker's game is based on speed and it is going. He will not age well. Unlike his fine ex-wife who is definitely MILF catagory.
