76ers offseason: picks/deals
The 76ers need to desperately get the best player available and even try to trade and get some star. Iguodala might be gone soon.
What I think should happen is this... All reports are having Brook Lopez dropping out of top 10 to NJ. How much would it honestly take to trade up 6 slots to take him at #10? You throw Lopez into the starting C spot, along side Sammy D (who I think will be BETTER at the 4 spot) and right there is a tough 2 man matchup.
If this does not happen, I want them to trade back, get a little more to work with and take Roy Hibbert. Ok, he does get in foul trouble... ALOT... But, the thing with Hibbert is, he is HUGE. A Great low post presence great rebounder and great shot blocker. Trade back to the 21st pick and take Roy. And get a little more fire power to work with.
Honestly I wouldnt want to take any big other than Darrel Aurther with the 16th pick. There are too many question marks about the rest of the herd, and I think Aurther would fit better in the Sixers run n' gun then any other PF in this draft. I will agree though that they dont need to trade this pick. Outside of Rose, Beasely, and Mayo I dont think theres anybody worth moving up for. I personally hope they go after Josh Smith and start him at the 4 spot and let Aurther play behind him. If Darrel Aurther isnt available at 16 like you suggest, then I would like to see them pursue a high potential guy like DeAndre Jordan to add depth at center, which I believe to be our position with least depth.

I hear that Ed Stefanski is going big in this draft. The mock draft on this website predicts that Darrell Arthur will be picked by Philadelphia. I beleive that he is better than the 16th pick in the draft. I beleive that Philadelphia should keep this pick and not trade it because i beleive their team needs to stay young. There is rumors that guys like Koufos and Speights would work well on the Sixers. I do not beleive Speights can do much for this team and i think that Koufos is not what the sixers need. They already have a player like him and his name is Jason Smith. I'm very curious to see what this franchise can do. Ps. They also need 3-pt. shooting. They are the worst in the league at it.
