valentineDoug Collins has stated that he would like vet players so the 76ers should trade Iguodala and Spencer Hawes for Artest and Bynum.
Lakers starting lineup
Fisher
Kobe
Iguodala
Odom
Gasol
76ers lineup
Holiday
Turner
Artest
Brand
Bynum
This is a low risk, high reward deal for the 76ers.
This trade would save the Lakers about 5 million dollars and Iguodala is an ironman.Spencer Hawes is
Very young and he could thrive in the triangle with his skill set.0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/13/2010 - 3:56pm #353641
GodfatherParticipantDon’t think the Lakers are looking for any big moves

JNixonParticipantYou must really hate Andrew Bynum lol. Every trade you come up with has Bynum getting moved.

DNYCEI dont hate Bynum, but he is injury prone and the Lakers need to continue to win now. Bynum and Gasol are both back to the basket players, and each is at his best when the other isn’t on the court.

Stojakovicfor3ParticipantHow about the Heat trade Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James for Sasha Vujacic. Seems fair, right?

stanford hoopsdumb trade for the lakers..hawes is soft and iggys game is better suited outside of the triangle. another reason its a dumb trade for the lakers is we just won back to back titles so why even make a trade like that..makess no sense. yeah bynum has been hurt but even a half healthy bynum is better and more of a presence on defense then hawes

DNYCEBynum has been a non factor the last 3 post seasons, bynum played against scrubs throughout the western playoffs(Kristic,Fesenko,Lopez) scrubs!

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI dont hate Bynum, but he is injury prone
If Bynum is injury prone, why would I give up a good player in Iguadala for him?

stanford hoopsand whats youre point that he played against scrubs?..without him we would have lost against those scrubs. like i said dumb trade for the lakers which is probably why you will NEVER EVER hear that brought up.

DNYCEKnickboy are you a Knicks fan or a Heat fan? By the way, I stated that Bynum would be a low risk, high reward player for the 76ers.Realistically, what is the 76ers goal for next season? Lets not forget that Ron Ron is very close to Elton Brand and he can help revive his career. The 76ers are stuck with EB.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantKnickboy are you a Knicks fan or a Heat fan?
I think the name says it all. I just like the picture.
The 76ers should have high hopes. They can get BETTER for Andre Iguadala IMO. Also, Whenever Doug Collins went to coach a team, in that teams’ 1st season- They increased thier win total by over 10 games.

fastdanParticipantWhy would the reigning champs trade 2 starters?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/13/2010 - 5:25pm #353726
DNYCEThe assistant coaches told Phil to start Odom with Gasol last year, because that is the lakers most potent frontline. Essentially you would be putting Iguodola in the lineup instead of Artest. Spencer Hawes would thrive as a backup center in the triangle.

TRC1991Participantuhm Gasol has a very good face-up game DNYCE…thats why he is often considered the best 4 in the game because he can shoot from the midrange as well as duncan and yao

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantGotta be real.
Ya’ll some haters on the honesty level. I don’t care about points but ya’ll must have a problem with me because I could post you knowledge you didn’t even know and I’d get negatives. I love ya’ll haters tho, give me a reason to comeback.
If you want me leave the site, keep giving me positives. I’ll never come back once I get 10000 points.

joecheck88Participantisnt the fact that bynum and gasol are long 7 footers the reason the lakers are so successful. i remember the thunder couldnt match up with them, the jazz couldnt, the suns couldnt, and the one team that did lost to them. no, as injury prone as bynum is, the lakers are keeping the twin towers.

DNYCEYes he does have a nice faceup game, but he is much better with his back to the basket

ScareCrowsRevengeParticipantI don’t see why all the Hate…
I[ggy could be like the Pippen to Kobe’s MJ…they could( If Kobe and Gasol stay healthy) win another 2[o 3 rings…all the point dnyce made are vad…all the others are too…Iggy is more durable than Bynum[;. a[n-[-d younger and more versatile than Ron Artest…Hawes is no Bynum and not the same role player that Artest is…If Bynum could be healthy for the rest of his career and Artest and Brand bring the toughness it’s a win win…Iggy and Hawes and maybe Lou Williams included would make this a good deal all around…It gives the Sixers and Lakers their two biggest needs…
Sixers need a C and defensive one at that…Artest helps in the Sf role with Thad backing him up…Bynum is still young but the Lakers have proved they can win without him playing a major role…They can get Hawes in that role and play Gasol and Odom(2 big money guys) more minutes and be fine…they get younger all around with Blake replacing Fisher and Iggy replacing Artest…Hawes is healthier than Bynum right now so it helps lessen the blow of losing a great young center…
Lakers need a longterm Sf to play next to Kobe…Iggy can the best players while Kobe gets his on O…Dre is the perfect fit in the Triangle because he passes like a guard and is a elite slasher…improving his 3pt range will be his only need…but with Kobe and Gasol Iggy would become the perfect 3rd man…

dipt1982ParticipantReally? If you watched any of the playoffs last year, Odom was Kobe’s Pippen. Picking up Iggy is intriguing but far fetched, I would not want to give up a lock down defender and a young dominant big man for Hawes and Iggy, just doesn’t help a team that won the title last season. Artest might have had his hiccups during the season, but he showed his worth in the finals and throughout the playoffs. Bynum is just too much talent to let go for next to nothing…The Lakers aren’t trying to give up a Gasol (Bynum) for nobody like the Grizzlies…

Afactor4ParticipantThis trade makes the Lakers worse, but I don’t know if Philly will be happy to take a chance on Bynum and his long term contract after what happened to Elton Brand.
