30 number twos in 30 years

i enjoyed the number ones over the last 30 years and all the feedback, so continuing from the last thread http://nbadraft.net/forum/30-number-ones-30-years i have decided to do the top five and then the steal of the draft. right now we are on the number two picks. criteria is there are 30 teams so 30 number twos ranked based on how the careers will end once it is all done if players are still active it is a projection of where they will rank of course. if you would like to participate, feel free or you can just read along.

kevin durant
gary payton
jason kidd
lamarcus aldridge
alonzo mourning
antonio mcdyess
marcus camby
mike bibby
steve francis
rik smits
michael kidd-gilchrist
wayman tisdale
tyson chandler
armen gilliam
keith van horn
kenny anderson
emeka okafor

marvin williams
shawn bradley
derrick williams
sam bowie
steve stipanovich
stromile swift
danny ferry
darko milicic
jay williams

len bias r.i.p.

it's a big dip from number ones to number twos.
thoughts?

Good List

These are very fun to read, and it's a good list. Some things I would change however:

1. Switch Jason Kidd and Payton(debatable, really just preference. Payton might of been the better player but he didn't affect his teammates like Kidd did. I was amazed with how he turned those early nets teams into contenders.)
2. I would definitely put Mourning over Aldridge, I don't see Aldridge becoming as dominant as Alonzo was in his prime.
3. I also think Evan Turner could be much higher if he lives up to his potential, even if he stays the same I would still put him over okafor.

i like alonzo better than

i like alonzo better than aldridge in his prime. that damn kidney! only reason i put aldridge ahead. the payton and kidd i was debating myself. i only did payton because that sonics team that lost to the best of the bulls team finished 64-18 quietly. it was a toughy for me to.

As a Sixers fan you have to

As a Sixers fan you have to put Turner over Keith Van Horn. Unfortunately I have seen a lot of both of them and Van Horn did nothing to effect the game if he wasn't making shots. Turner is a playmaker, good defender and possibly the best rebounding guard in the league. At least you have him over Shawn Bradley....

I think Kidd over Payton is the way to go as well.

Sad about Len Bias...he may have been #1 or 2 on this list if the drugs didn't take him.

Ah my favorite player

Ah my favorite player Stromile Swift... He may have only scored about 6 points a game but man were they some entertaining points! Probably shoulda worked on some actual basketball moves instead of perfecting his dunking in retrospect

Chandler

Maybe Chandler a little bit higher? (How much worse is he than Camby for example?)

i knew that would come up.

i knew that would come up. good observation. truth is i felt the gap between every player from mcdyess to chandler is pretty close. chandler just got the bottom of that tier. had to be somebody.

I remember Memphis running

I remember Memphis running into Memphis coach Lionel front office fighting over who to take with the 2nd pick in 2009...Coach Hollins wanted Ricky Rubio,he said Rubio will be the best passer to enter the nba since Jason Kidd..And when you have a chance to draft someone with that talent you grab him,no matter if you already have a player at that position,i remember when Portland screwed up grabbing Bowie over Jordan, becuz they had just drafted Drexler and Paxson was an all star.....

The #2 pick has a lot of

The #2 pick has a lot of garbage/mediocre players. I'm a tad surprised by that.
