this is a really great trade. the nets and pacers seem to benefit more. the hornets do O.K. but are left with a big hole on the wings. of course they could still fix it after the trade because this doesn’t mean the teams are done working on their rosters.

so new orleans gives up cp3 and west for murphy and hibbert? quite possible the worst trade ever?

and you have the nets getting cp3 and keeping the number 2 for harris, yi, and dooling. this has to be a joke

One problem….. Pacers and Nets won’t be able to murder the Hornets this badly in real life.

Judging by your trade and what I’ve seen you say….. You must not even think Chris Paul is a top 5 PG. Probably not even top 10.

Noh is a cheap team the owner is cheap and is always looking to get rid of salary. 25 million of the books is huge, they get a franchise center and shooting guard that will fit perfect perfect with Collison. Murphy will also stretch the floor for the team as well.

    I still dont get it….

Chris Paul is a franchise PG…. Hibbert seems pretty good but calling him a franchise player LOL……

I understand owners who wan’t to get rid of salary but they are usually doing so in order to sign free agents. You are not going to get a free agent better than Chris Paul if you are the Hornets.

    No definately wins this deal.

They trade West, who is allready on his way out, for Murphy who is taller and a beter boarder.

then thet get Rush, Dooling, Yi, and Hibbert! for CP3(who has allready proven to be expendable) and there bust of Wright.

    NO Wins bar none!!!

    Murphy>West
    Yi>Wright
Rush, Hibbert, and bench warmer Dooling are= or > CP3

I won’t comment on the actual trade but who is Psycho T? I have never heard of that nickname before and who is worthy of that name on the Pacers I have no idea. Hornets are definitely not going to accept this they are may be happy with Collison already but I would rather have Paul then Collison. If any pg in Nola is on his out of there, it is Collison not Paul.

Pacers are not drafting Whiteside, They want hard work and are not a team to take risks. Both Indy and Utah would be horrible places for Whiteside to go. I think Pacers will select either Patterson or Davis because both are hard workers and fill a need with Murphy on his way out of there.

Psycho T was Tyler Hansburoughs nickname in college. Hibbert isn’t the franchise “guy” but he could be the franchise “center”

This is all pretty much for CP3. West will leave when his contracts up and Wright is a bust and the worst player in this trade. Atleast get something for both of them instead of having a huge hole at power forward. The trade also gives front court depth to them as well which is what they need most. they then can trade Okafor to a team who tries to scramble to try to impress a superstar to come to there team.

i’m actually a Hornets fan and this helps the team get younger and gives good contracts. one of them will be traded. this was a way to boost the depth of the team and bring a starting center to the team. 25 + million in expiring contracts is big, especially with the cheap owner we have. Collison can be the future of the team and the face of the franchise and he can kick it out to Paul George, Brandon Rush and Murphy and then kick it inside to Hibbert and Okafor. Having Yi come off the bench and learn more will help him develop into the starting power forward or Motie can be drafted next year if Yi busts and that stilll gives a cheap back up power forward.

ahh, Thatguy, Okafor is a superstar, if not now then he has the potential to become one. Why not keep the one you already have and look for a center via trade or draft. I still think that Collison will be traded not Paul.

if Okafor is a superstar then tell me how good he did last year……… pretty bad. Tyson Chandler and Okafor should not have been traded for each other it killed both of them
