First of all these dont include Darren Collison or Chris Paul people make a ton of those and theres no need for another anyways

Julian Wright and Songailla for Nazr Mohamed

Songalia is a Larry Brown type of player and Mohommad fills an immediate need at backup center. All players are on expiring contracts, so it is a one year deal for everyone. It opens up PT for Brackins and Pondexter.

Peja and Songalia for Michael Redd

Again, all guys are expiring. Redd gives Nohla a 2 guard for depth and opens up playing time for Pondexter. One year rental for both teams, but Milwaukee has no use for Redd with Delfino, Salmons, and CDR at the two. Peja gives them a floor spreader off the bench.

Peja, Songalia, Aaron Gray and Posey for Rashard Lewis and Marcin Gortat

Trade is contingent on Orlando moving Peja to Toronto for Hedo. They unload Lewis’s monster salary and get Hedo back to play SF. Meanwhile Nohla loses all flexibility for years to come but we give CP3 a roster that can win now. CP3, MT5, Lewis, West, and Okafor is a solid 5 plus you got DC, the 2 rooks, and Gortat off the bench. At worst, Lewis is 2007-08 Peja and Cp3 made him look great. At best, Lewis is Peja plus slightly better defense and the ability to put the ball on the ground. Compare that 9 man rotation to the 07-08 team that won 56 games

    Nelson – Carter – Hedo – Bass / Anderson – Howard
Duhon – Reddick – Posey – Songailla / Anderson or Bass- Gray / Orton

    CP3 – Thorton – Lewis – West – Okafor
    Collison – Pondexter – Wright – Brackins – Gortat

    which is best

I think Peja and Songalia for Michael Redd is the best but none of them really blow me away.

They wont blow you away because the team besides Paul, Collison, West, and Okafor are all bench players

With the Hornets financial situation and having a new owner coming in, I doubt they would be willing to take on big and long contracts like the horrible contract in Rashard Lewis.

Julian Wright and Songailla for Nazr Mohamed
    – I think Julian Wright is still young, the potential is still there for him to figure something out. Songailla is a hustling role player while Nazr is a marginal back up big man. It’s almost a wash.
The only benefit would just be opening up PT for Brackins and Pondexter as you mention.

Not much point in making this trade for the Hornets.

Peja and Songalia for Michael Redd
    – Can Michael Redd still play in the NBA? I wonder if Redd should consider filing for retirement already. It really depends on Redd’s condition. If Redd can still play, I am not sure if the Bucks would do the deal because Redd is also a good shooter like Peja and a slightly better overall player. Songalia isn’t all that useful.

If Redd can still play, then it would be a good deal for the Hornets. If not, Redd may file for retirement and can be written off from the cap (doubt it). If Redd can play but at a much much lower level, then it wouldn’t really make a difference. Regardless, it can be a solid gamble for the Hornets.

Peja, Songalia, Aaron Gray and Posey for Rashard Lewis and Marcin Gortat
    – If Hornets doesn’t care about money and wants to win now. It’s a great deal. Peja and Posey are wash up. Songalia and Gray are almost useless. Peja can still hit 3s, and that’s pretty much it. Posey can still hit 3s and play D (maybe just average as he’s too old for the game). Lewis is still a pretty good player if not looking at the contract. Gortat can be a solid starting big man.

Basketball-wise, it’s a great deal for the Hornets. Financially, it’s terrible.

In reality, Hornets is in financial trouble while the Magic still has money to spend. It’s hard to imagine taking on Lewis and Gortat would be a realistic deal.

I think that last deal could never happen with the way New Orleans owner is but all these deals are pretty good though. Bucks may want to know what they have with Redd before moving him though. He should be healthy but not part of the future it seems.

Also Hornets should just see about getting Chandler back because Bobcats do not appear to want him and will let him be a free agent after this year or trade him anyway.

this could be enough to make Paul Happy and also open up the door to keep Chandler for less and move Collison with Okafor contract for some depth and help at the 2 and 3 spot.

    So basically,

The Bobcats, Bucks, and Magic get an old washed up 3pt shooter who shot 40% from the field and a very bad contract?

It makes no sense for them.
