Out of a best of 7 series no Nba team has ever come back from a 3-0 and won. It has been done in baseball and in hockey, DO you guys think it will eventually happen in the NBA? Lakers(possibly Boston) are this years example.

They gott win not 1 but 2 games IN Dallas for that to happen and Nowitski is just on top of his game, Stojakovic wants revenge from his Sacramento days and he looks like the old Peja…..I hate to say it but the Lakers are done no dream match up between Kobe and LeBron or Boston v LA

Lots of credit to Dallas though

^^^^ I agree, Mavs are clicking, they have a good chance to go back to the finals. I think they will matchup well against either the grizz, or thunder, It will be a good series either way.

I guess fate has conspired to keep Lebron and Kobe from matching up in a series once more. It’s a shame they will likely never get that chance to settle the debate somewhat. It should have happened the year Orlando made it to the Finals when both were pretty near their peak. Ah well.

Am i the only person that thinks there is more going on inside that Lakers locker room then they’re reporting..Once again the Lakers let another 4th quarter lead get away..

Gasol looks heart broken, lost and confused..Several times Phil tried to pump him up..But it didnt help…

Fisher looks old and in the 1st 2 games Kobe didnt have a layup…

Dallas is 3-0 on them and Dallas havent played outstanding…

Yeah, I can definitely sense change in the air, this group won’t be intact next season.

I almost feel like Kobe might retire, even if only temporarily, because he looks extremely worn down out there and after so many seasons, 5 championships, an MVP and two Finals MVPs, once the opportunity for a three-peat is gone, and Phil Jackson leaves, I don’t see why he might take a break from basketball for a while to let his body recover for a possible eventual return, it’s not as if he’s hanging on for a ring like Kidd or Nash, there isn’t really anything else left for him to prove.

I should add that it would be better than going out like Iverson, where he can’t accept a role other than alpha dog and is cast out unwillingly.

he may act all nonchalant when asked about it by the media…but i think more than anything, kobe wants that 6th ring so he can finally convince some idiotic people (and himself) that hes equal to/greater than mike…hes also a spoiled pampered franchise player who will probably whine to the GM to go get the best big man in the league at the time, which the lakers always seem to need to win rings…welp, atleast for this year…’lakeshow’ is CANCELLED!

If it takes Kobe whinning for the Lakers to get D. Howard, then he should whine away. If Howard tells the Magic that he won’t resign with them, then I’m sure they would trade him straight up for Bynum.

Fisher should consider retiring. The Lakers need someone who can guard small guards. Fisher can’t do that anymore and Kobe is loosing a step as well.

It appears Kobe has hit the jump shooting portion of his career.

When I was in my twenties I never understood this idea.  I’d look at a guy like Kobe and I just couldn’t figure out where the agressiveness went.  Basically he’s worn out.  A few nagging injuries aswell as an uncontrolable drop in energy levels and his CNS is just a bit slower to react.  You start to gamble with yourself.  You make yourself think its ok, this is a good shot.  In truth you just don’t feel up to crossing your man over, spinning in the lane and getting back through for an agressive finish. Its just weird, but natural.  Instead of using multiple moves you use one.  I’m 33 now and I have to will myself to be agressive because its so much easier shooting jumpers.  I can’t play more then twice a week because playing ball hard is just too taxing.  I go Mondays and Fridays and thats about as much as I can tolerate.  My vertical and speed remain about the same as when I was younger but playing at that level for 2 hours has me almost too stiff to move when I get up the next morning.  It has nothing to do with conditioning.  I just don’t recover very well.  I stretch, eat right and I have low body fat.  On a back to back day I can push through it but I feel like a shell of what I was the day before… and maximum jumps on that second day make me feel like I’m going to break apart… So I avoid back to backs.  I have to keep training days under an hour and preferably under 45 minutes if I’m really pushing it.  I have to be alot lighter to play fast.  My frame won’t support any extra weight if I want to be explosive, fast and agile… this is a double edged sword because when I absorb contact I have very little cushioning and I tend to get alot of welts.

Most older guys in the nba tend to get much heavier as their career goes on… and their athletic ability goes out the window as a result.  You don’t shed body fat, build muscle and recover the way you used too.  Look at Kobe’s build when he was 18-20 and look at his build now.  AI’s build in college and his first few years in the league and what it was at the end.  Using the Grant Hill method is the only way to survive in a young guys game.  Get lighter.  It takes much less work to move and will allow you too keep that burst you used to have when driving.

You’re sure the Magic would trade Dwight for Bynum straight up??? I think Bynum has established himself as a top three C in this league, but you gotta bring more to the table then trying to trade for a superstar with only a potential all star with knee problems.

Would’nt it be Interesting to see what type of numbers Bynum might put up if he was the 1st option on another team? lol
