The with the #12 pick the Oklaholma City Thunder select Kelly Olynyk of Gonzaga.
The Dallas Mavericks (rileymcshea3) are on the clock
Tough choice between Olynyk and Adams but we are trying to compete for a Championship now and I believe Olynyk adds the most NBA ready skill and talent in areas where we need help such as stretching the floor for Westbrook, Durant, Jackson, Miller?, Lamb and low post scoring.
I like the pick, I have them taking Adams but I think OIynyk fits better.
With the 13th pick the Dallas Mavericks select Shabazz Muhammad. Former number 1 overall prospect slowly fell down the mock drafts but lands here to the Mavs. With help needed almost every where(except PF) I go BPA with Shabazz. He can difenitey score and can be as good as any one out of the draft so forget taking a international player and waiting a couple years for them.
interesting pick, I would have them taking someone else, considering it's probably for another team.
It's who you think they should pick and why. I think he knows Paul and Howard are not likely coming so going BPA is best for the team.
Yeah I completely understand why Shabazz was picked, I'm not bashing the pick at all. I simply meant I think it'll be someone else. I can see Shabazz here for sure. Not a bad pick.
In our draft scenario there is no trades. I'm also a Mavs fan drafting based on who I really want the Mavs to draft regardless of out salary cap situation, because last year we banked on free agency and everyone saw how that worked out.
The Utah Jazz (lisergx) are on the clock
With the 14th pick in the draft the Utah Jazz select Steven Adams. The Jazz may very well lose both their top players/big men Paul Millsap and Big Al. Adams has good size a good motor and a high potential if in the right situation, and with Karl Malone helping the Jazz bigs now I think it is the right pick. And I there are too many questions surrounding the point guards available, I would rather wait or sign a veteran in free agency.
In 3 years a rotation of Kanter, Favors and Adams should look frightening to other teams.
Milwaukee Bucks (TOL23) are on the clock
With the 15th pick in the NBA draft, the Milwaukee Bucks select Giannis Adetokoubo
Steven Adams was just ONE pick away and I thought the Jazz would take Schroeder but oh well, we take Giannis and hope he can turn out to be an effective player. Right now, the Bucks don't have much going for them except their bigs (assuming Jennings/Ellis are out), adding Giannis would give them a long-term SF if he pans out. He'll solidify their front court.
The Boston Celtics (Wahoo757) are on the clock
With the 16th pick the celtics select Ricky Ledo, SG, Providence. I'm highly skeptical about hisgame and he has a huge risk associated with him. But a 6-6 or 6-7 shooting guard that can shoot and create his own shot is highly intriuging. His cieling is greater than anyone else at this juncture in my opinion.
Great pick, having Rondo setting up shots for him will do him well and actually gives the Celts hope in putting points up.
This could be a huge miss or a big hit. But at 16, it's not like it's much of a risk, especially for a team planning to rebuild anyway
Atlanta Hawks (AC68Outlaw) are on the clock
He has two teams in this mock? Dang that sucks I wanted the hawks.
With the 17th pick the Hawks select Riva Amarante Nogueria. Perfect fit for this team in my opinion as Horford permanently slides over to power forward while giving Atlanta the rim protector they desperately need.
Atlanta Hawks (AC68Outlaw) are on the clock
With the 18th pick of the first round, the Atlanta Hawks select Andre Roberson, SF, Colorado. I have looked up multiple scouting reports on this guy and they all have him ranked so low because of his lack of developing an offensive game and that's understandable. But this kid can rebound like his life depends on it. He has good size and near elite athletic ability aside from lane quickness. He's the perfect piece in a rotation for a championship team and I think, in time, he can start for a playoff team. Building the Hawks will take a couple of years but with these draft pieces and a high 2014 pick, they will be on a major upswing.
Getting creative...I like it.
Roberson is an amazing rebounder. I would trade up to get him in the beginning of the second round.
The Cleveland Cavaliers (cavsfan1118) are on the clock
Sergey karasev because it looks like the cavs are in love with him. He also is a good starter to put dion back to the bench like in Syracuse
The Chicago Bulls (Cynthia) are on the clock
1. Nerlens Noel
2. Victor Oladipo
3. Cody Zeller
4. Alex Len
5. Otto Porter
6. Trey Burke
7. Anthony Bennett
8. Ben McLemore
9. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
10. Michael Carter-Williams
11. CJ McCollum
12. Kelly Olynyk
13. Shabazz Muhammad
14. Steven Adams
15. Giannis Adetokoubo
16. Ricky Ledo
17. Lucas Nogueria
18. Andre Roberson
19. Sergey Karasev
With the 20th pick in the 2013 NBA Draft the Chicago Bulls select Dennis Schroeder.
This was tough because Bulls really need an SG like Hardaway or Snell, or a backup center like Dieng. But at this point I feel Dennis Schroeder would be a huge steal and too hard to pass up.
Marquis Teague just shot you a death glare.
But he does have immense potential and would be a steal.
This is really cool. Wish I was a part of it.
Comment away and TOL23 might give you a pick if someone doesn't show up
Utah Jazz (lisergx) are on the clock
I have no problem taking Shane Larkin with the 21st pick. I was hoping Schroeder dropped but hey can't win them all. With the 21st the Jazz take Shank Larkin, high class player and athlete good chemistry for the Jazz young core.
Are you a Jazz fan?
Yea I am why?
I just posted the comment but I'm wanting to know what you think of Nate Wolters possibly being their point guard of choice at 21?
I love Larkin and have been defending him for a while. If he was 6-3 he would a top 3 pick but questions about his size are what limits him. The Jazz are a likely destination for him and they should be thrilled to be able to get him at 21.
Brooklyn Nets (ThunderHog35) are on the clock
What do you all think, if they don't trade and don't pick a PG with the 14th pick, of the possibility of Nate Wolters being their selection?
I think Canaan might be a more likely option than Wolters
With the 22nd pick in the 2013 NBA Draft the Brooklyn Nets select Mason Plumlee.
Back and forth between Plumlee and Dieng, but in the end Dieng's lack of offensive game and the value of Plumlee at 22 was too much to overlook.
I prefer Dieng over Plumlee because I think his offensive game actually translates better to the NBA. Dieng can hit the mid range jump shot which is something Plumlee is awful at. I don't see teams going to Plumlee in the post much and he will be relegated to scoring on easy baskets such as lobs and offensive rebounds. I like Plumlees athleticism but Dieng is a better defender. Gorgui blocked 68 more shots than Plumlee in 39 less college games.
With the 23rd pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, the Indiana Pacers select Tony Snell
ProudGrandpa is offline but he left a shortlist of players he wanted to take with this pick
