Towns have been told he would be the number one pick – According to multiple reports the Timberwolves told Karl-Anthony Towns that he will be the number one pick

Jahlil Okafor – According to Chad Ford (ESPN) the Lakers are settling in on taking Duke Center Jahlil Okafor, They were 70% certain on friday, now they are 80%.

Tyus Jones – Tyus Jones have an schedule workout with the Denver Nuggets, according to reports. Denver has the number 7 pick in this draft and they also trying to trade point guard Ty Lawson. Tyus has reportedly been "injured" since the Houston  Rockets workout and there was a report that Houston made him a promise of selecting him. Denver might try to trade Ty Lawson for the number 18 pick to select Tyus Jones ( My Guess ).

Also Porzingas has told Philly hes not coming over if they draft him…ala Dario Saric.

Not sure if that bothers Hinkie with Ben Simmons just around the corner and Embìid out for a while too…

Or was it just Lawson for the 18th pick, because if it was the Rockets should do it in a heartbeat.

I am going to preface this buy saying that Karl Anthony-Towns is a wonderful prospect and a great athelete.

With that being said,  I think he is a super risky pick with the number 1.  I know that the Timberwolves want to run, and KAT is definitley mobile, But Okafor is an elite talent who’s not only NBA ready, but he can walk into this league as an all-star contender.

I think everyone’s been watching Okafor for so long that he’s becoming the boring pick, but I think he is the sure fire PRO in this draft.

If I were the Wolves Okafor would be the number one pick.

I personally don’t see Okafor as that safe of a pick. He has some very pronounced weaknesses.

I think kat putting it all together and being aggressive each game is something I would factor. I think like you said okafur is coming in knowing what type of game he has

I agree that I think he’s the sure-fire guy in this draft, but if you aren’t as high on Okafor’s scoring ability, I think the argument works the same way as you see for other specialist type guys:

If you’re being drafted to be a scorer and nothing else, if you don’t end up being elite at that one thing, you’re not very valuable.  Same goes for defense; if you’re drafted just for defense and don’t bring anything else to the table, you have to hope that translates into an elite skill.

Now personally, I think Okafor will be a great scorer, and will develop into a competent team defender and a solid passer/rebounder.  But if someone believes Okafor to be risky, I’d imagine their argument is along the lines of what I mentioned above.
