I’ve seen the Grant Hill/Barnes comparison before, and I just don’t like it. Hill was a slasher who was very quick and athletic and who could also function as a point forward. He also was an average shooter. Barnes is a very good shooter, but not near the athlete, slasher or passer that Grant Hill was.

He was, but I think the way he projects to the NBA will be similar to how Williams has gone into the NBA. Both are 6’9 230 combo forwards who have wide lower bodies, good rebounding ability, very nice athleticism and length, and nice shots from mid-range. Both also can finish and carve out room down low when finishing. Jones is more polished than Williams at the same stage obviously, and he’s going to be more productive, but in terms of NBA projection, I don’t see Jones being much different than Williams.

i guess i can see that. i think jones will produce more because hes more skilled and the key factor of him being more aggressive as a player. I also like his development up to this point. as a soph going into jr year he was strickly a pf trying to play some sf. his handles were shakey and his jumper was kinda like rondo’s
