European BasketballerParticipantPapagiannis is now a 16 year old high school junior. He is playing AAU basketball in USA.
He has now been recently measured at 7-2 tall, with a 7-6 wingspan and 250 pounds in weight.

MUbballfanParticipantLol I remember when European Basketballer was negged unmercilessly by everybody for hyping these unknown European prospects… Then some of the players he told everyone about actually panned out and have found success.

J_01ParticipantHe’s not getting negged anymore because he stopped posting about players and then saying they are better than top nba players who are not in the nba because of greek racism. Now he posts about players from greece who have little exposure but have potential. Lately he’s made good posts updating everyone on progress of young players in Europe. He’s still "hyping" player but realistically now. He was right about Giannis and this guy seems like he could be good as well.

GronounoursParticipantEB has never been "right". He hypes each and every more or less talented Greek player. Once in a while, one of these players turns out to be actually good. That’s probability, not basketball.

MalcolmxParticipantHe attends Westtown School In PA. I suspect he will probably play AAU with Team Final which is the best team in PA and plays on the EYBL circuit. I have seen some film of him sense he has arrived and he looks dominate and has a high skill level and IQ. Needs to just adapt to the American game a bit more. Will probably be a top 15 player nationally by the end of next summer.

LitteringAnd…ParticipantWhat tranformation for Euroballer, from some fairly agressive ("surely it was trolling?" I said) opinions to one of the better, more intersting posters on here; props.
Also 7’2" and 250 at 16?! that’s a big boy.

Aran SmithKeymasterLot of hype around this kid. He’s too slow for the NBA, guys. Think Karnowski at Gonzaga. European level center.

XYRYXParticipantDon’t be too harsch on a 16 year old guy who first of all needs to grow into his body. 7’2" and 250 is more than solid if he moves so fluidly like that on the court and has lift in his shots.

———————————————————————————–That was the main criticism of Nik Vucevic too and he’s certainly turned into a good NBA center. That size combined with a high skill level is intriguing no matter what his foot speed is. Him coming stateside to hone his game is definitely a good idea, It’ll be interesting to see his progress from here.

XYRYXParticipantwow thanks for sharing!
The last time I have seen a european tall boy shooting like this it was Bargs back as a 17 – 18 year old.
Papagiannis seems to be much stronger build but still very mobile. His handles are very repectable if he really is around 7 feet tall which seems possible watching this videos.
Nice prospect to keep an eye on.
A prospect I like very much for this years draft is Jusuf Nurkic. He is incredible mobile for a true center and an excelent rebounder with excellent offensive post move. There are some more european players to watch for. Bogdanovic (2x), Micic, Saric, Hezonja, Clint Capela, Greak Freak² and all of them could go in the first round.

European BasketballerParticipantHe is definitely 7 feet tall. His USA high school team is saying that he is now 7-2 in shoes. I do not know if that is true or not. But he was measured at 7-1 in shoes by Greek junior national team last summer. They do not lie about the heights of the players. And since he is only 16 years old, it is not hard to imagine he can still be growing.
