This would be a better topic

This would be a better topic if you had tiers. As far as I know #1 is in the HOF and #32 is dropping 4 points per game. It's hard to be critical or complimentary if I have no idea how good or bad you think these guys will be.

You do hate Waiters. But so do I. He's a chucker and that's about it.

Waiters actually showed

Waiters actually showed significant improvement in his shot selection post allstar break and is fully capable of being an efficient 2 gaurd because of his ability to get to the rim.

I have Kanter 8th overall not

I have Kanter 8th overall not sure who I can put him over. I am a big fan of Lamb, Fournier, and Jackson but again it's tough to put them over a couple of guys that are already listed.

I'm probably higher on Kanter

I'm probably higher on Kanter than most posters on this board. I think he has the potential to be a better than both Drummond and Valanciunas. His offensive potential is immense. Combine that with his rebounding and he's the player in either class with the best 20/10 potential.

I don't disagree with that at

I don't disagree with that at all. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up just as good or better than Drummond and Jonas. They are all very talented and it's a toss up as to which one will be better at the moment.

Drummond is an elite athlete but limited on offense and possibly the worst free throw shooter in the entire league.
Jonas has a full arsenal added bulk to his frame and sky's the limit. Kanter was the opposite and slimmed down a lot but is very similar to Jonas.

I did just realize I missed

I did just realize I missed MKG oops. That's what I get for doing it off the top of my head. I would put him in the tier 3 range probably right before or after Harkless.

I like it. I must be higher

I like it. I must be higher on Jonas Valanciunas than most. I think he is a lock for an all star or on the boarder all star type player. He has a full arsenal of moves, 80% from the line, and can play defense. He reminds of a Marc Gasol type player.

actually i think you're more

actually i think you're more on the common here, i like jonas v, but not as much as most people on this site. infact he was a candidate to be best young player in 2 years candidate on those other threads by position and drummond was clearly ahead of him imo, but others actually liked jonas v better. i'm not low on the guy obviously, but i think he is clearly in a tier lower than kanter.

Kanter has a better arsenal

Kanter has a better arsenal than he does. Valanciunas is more of a bull in a china shop. He looks a little slower and less agile with all the weight he's put on too. Before all the muscle he had that face up blow by ability vs some C's, now he looks like he'll have to bully them to the cup.

I am a big fan of both Kanter

I am a big fan of both Kanter and Jonas. I like Jonas a little more but wouldn't be surprised if Kanter out performed him. I am also a huge fan of Drummond it's tough to know at the moment who will be a better long term player. It basically a toss up. They all have their strengths and weaknesses.

My Take Tier 1 (Super

My Take

Tier 1 (Super Stars)

1. Anthony Davis
2. Kyrie Irving
3. Damain Lillard
4. Jonas Valanciunas
5. Harrison Barnes

Tier 2(Potential All Stars)

6. Kawhi Leonard
7. Andre Drummond
8. Enes Kanter
9. Tobias Harris( I believe he could be a superstar but it is too early)
10. Moe Harkless(Defensively and body wise reminds me of Paul George)
11. Derrick Williams (He is on the wrong team and when he finally gets moved WATCH OUT!)
12. Klay Thompson
13. Nikola Vucevic
14. John Henson
15. Mashon Brooks
16. Bradley Beal
17. Kemba Walker( Could fall off this list but he will have the minutes and has leadership to pull it off)

Tier 3(Starters)

18. Chandler Parsons
19. Jeffery Taylor( MKG who)
20. Jimmy Butler( reminds me of another Butler)
21. Kenneth Faried
22. Meyers Leonard
23. Tristan Thompson
24. Iman Shumpert
25. Donatas Motiejūnas
26. Terrence Jones
27. Perry Jones( People forget how talented this guy is)
28. Jeremy Lamb( wait until he gets minutes)
29. Terrence Ross
30. Festus Ezeli
31. Marquis Teague( the sky is the limit but until he gets more minutes I am playing it safe)

Tier 4(Spot Starters or 6th Men)

32. Dion Waiters(this will wind up being his best position because he reminds me of a poor man's Jamal Crawford)
33. Jared Sullinger(skilled but does not have a set NBA position to me because he is kinda slow compared to the new breed of power fowards and not tall enough for some centers)
34. Aleck Burks(He could rise up; Don't sleep on him)
35. Brandon Knight
36. Reggie Jackson
37. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist(notice I have J.Taylor ahead of him)
38. Marcus Morris
39. Markieff Morris
40. Isaiah Thomas
41. Evan Fournier
42. Tony Wroten(wildcard because he could overtake MCW as starter for Philly and if that happens I will have to re-evaluate if he is All Star material)

Tier 5(Key Bk-Ups)

43. Austin Rivers(He could surprise me and become a Steph Curry type for another team but at this point that may be wishful thinking)
44. Tyler Zeller
45. Thomas Robinson
46. Will Barton( another wild card)
47. John Jenkins
48. Corey Joseph
49. Norris Cole

Harrison Barnes a potential

Harrison Barnes a potential superstar?? He's talented but he's not even one of the top 4 best players on his team...I'm concerned he wont get enough shots to show his worth

I really don't understand why

I really don't understand why Beal gets so much love and Waiters gets so much hate. They both shot about 41% from the field but only Waiters is labled a chucker, i just don't get it.

I think Faried should get a

I think Faried should get a little more love here. His potential may be only tier3 or 4 but in the end he already IS a very good player and almost averaged a double double. I don't see many forwards in this class who are this good on the defensive end and it's not like his offensive game is completely broken. Of course he gets the majority of his points from hustle and his cuts and Alleys but whats wrong with that? He is efficient doing it and if he ever adds a half decent jumper to his game he could end up beeing this generations Shawn Marion. I wouldn't be surprised to see him on a couple of all defensive teams in the future and having a better career than Barnes or MKG who himself could prove people next season why he was drafted so high with a much more complete offensive players alongside him.

I may be a little bit biased cause the manimal is my favorite player in the league right now but I always tend to pick the max effort and underdog guy over the more talented but maybe kind of enigma player (Barnes) who fail to live up to the superstar expectations in College.

Another player who I really love is Kawhi Leonard. Aside from his lack of a killer instinct and a mediocre ball handling he is already a complete player and will put up very good number next year. 18/7.5/3/1.5/1 is possible and he is extremely coachable and has the best coach in the game right now. He may end up beeing in the Paul George tier if it's all said and done. To me they are both in the same talent group and I'm not completely sure if I would pick George over him. If George lives up the the incredible hype next year I'm sold on him but the superstar talk is way to much for me and if people are claiming that heavy usage inflated Lillards stats what about George? I'm not a hater but not a true believer at this stage of his career.

Faried is not good

Faried is not good defensively.
His overall PPP against puts him in the bottom 15% of the league defensively.
His adjusted +/- on defense was a negative.
The Nuggets were actually better defensively with him off the floor.
